vibrant99:Thought? That is not accurate, always rely on official sources. The whole place (Lagos) was a hive of activity for the different applications they handle for different countries. |

Yes, VFS Global for South African visa applications in Nigeria has closed for the year 2025 for submissions as of December 18, 2025, with full closure for holidays, including the South African Consulate, from December 24, 2025, and services (visa submissions/collections) are set to resume on January 5, 2026. where ever u went to submit your own application is still a mystery. vibrant99:The mystery should be where you got the above from; probably its not for VFS Lekki, which handles SA as I was physically there to submit and the place was full of people submitting applications for different countries on that day, Thur 18th. |

South Africa be doing wonders now o. Someone applied on the 12th of this month, and got his visa approved in 7 days. 😁 first timer, although he had had two previous rejections. We were confused when he received the notification that his passport has been dispatched via DHL on Friday, fearing it was a rejection 😆😆 He just submitted nau. How come they are returning his passport in one week. He received his passport from DHL a short while ago with 3 months multiple entry visa. This is commendable, coming from the same SA that will hold your passport for 4 months . |

cucumbar:I noticed the pattern of recent too. I think it's cos this is SA tourism period and the minister had promised to restore tourism in South Africa to pre covid value generation. So there are a lot of positves right now. It doesn't mean there are no rejections but DHA are less skeptical in evaluation now than they were before. Let's hope it lasts sha |

Hello guys, Pls I need advise on what to do next. I got an email and sms that my processed application is in transit from the Consulate Lagos to Lagos visa application centre on the 9th but no news again. I tracked it online and it's showing still under process at the embassy. I sent an email to vfs help email and was told that the processed application message was an error message. Thank you in anticipation |

SuperL:Thank you. But no celebration abeg. It's hard-earned money I want to spend into their economy. It is more of a relief that the time and cash put into the process was not wasted. It's a visit visa. This is my 3rd from SA. DHL delivered today and 6 months was given. I wonder why they can't just give 1 year despite writing that I have another event to attend late next year. And my last visa was even 1 year. |

Can some kind please respond to my inquiry… ___ Please I got a yellow card in September 2024 Can it still be used now in December 2025 for a fresh visa application Also, which is advisable for now, E-Visa or Sticker Visa |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by SuperL: 11:48pm On Dec 29, 2025 |
I can only speak for the yellow fever card. You need to get a letter to certify your vaccination from port health center which you will attach to the yellow fever card when submitting your application. And from my assessment your yellow card is still valid. The verification site of the port health authority in nigeria has been down for sometime now hence the need for the letter. JaySterling: |

| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Restaurant92: 12:23am On Dec 30, 2025*. Modified: 1:03am On Dec 30, 2025 |
SuperL:The yellow fever card I used for my application this year was gotten in 2022 and I didnt get any letter from Port Health. But it is important to note that I've used same card to obtain SA visa and traveled to SA in the past. |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by SuperL: 7:52am On Dec 30, 2025 |
That's good. It appears that the issue with yellow card verification might be a thing of the past. tpain121: |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by SuperL: 7:57am On Dec 30, 2025 |
Good to know. There was a time yellow card verification was a serious issue and some people were denied visas on that ground. I'm glad things are beginning to improve concerning that. Restaurant92: |
