One man would have died last weekend, had i not arrived on time at the scene of the accident. He was riding a bike on the express in ogun state and was hit. We met him lifeless. We were coming from a ceremony in abeokuta so I stopped and quickly rushed to the scene. Everybody was taking pictures while some others were seen recording a video of his lifeless body. Some women were wailing. On arriving the place, I chased all of them away, lifted his head a bit and applied a CPR on him. About 10 minutes later, he came back. He had a severe head injury. After resuscitating him, I called on a keke to take him to a nearby hospital. I removed his phone from his pocket and handed it over to him. I ensured he regained his full consciousness before I left the scene. I'm so sure, had someone experienced in a CPR arrived that scene, those guys accompanying AJ would have been brought back. Nigeria is full of useless leaders and useless followers. This is a disgrace to our emergency response system as a nation, despite having the best hands all over the world. Tinubu is busy receiving treatment as we speak in france but he deceived his followers he was going to Europe on vacation. The country in Europe wasn't mentioned. Na which kain country be dis sef? |

Sonnobax15:How do you blame the driver.. if the driver was very reckless, then there should be no survival... The long-truck stationed on major highway without Warning sign of breaking down vehicle on the road.. or diversion sign... Should be blame.. |

Dogalmighty17:. My man should have just stayed back in the UK. Nigeria is something else. He has learnt his lesson albeit in a hard way. Souls have gone to the land beyond. Joshua, pls, stay away from here for now. Stay away. Our country is not safe for you. If you must come here, prepare like a global celebrity or else... |

Ogun State fall hand sha. Lagos is far better in terms of emergency response. FG should also have emergency response on the expressway which is theirs. All so shameful. |

Glimpsetv:It's a country, Nigeria, where Mullahs have been in charge all the years. Don't expect any modernity except some eye service types. The mentality of an average Nigerian has been shaped by the desires of the Mullahs. It's almajiri mentality everywhere. Mullahs only objective is how to take total control of Nigeria and its oil and gas deposits. Tony Joshua was lucky he was not hit. He would have died before any help could come. |

Emergency Response can't exist in a nation where basic healthcare is nonexistent in nearly every part of the nation. Everyone is acting enraged all because it happened to a Celebrity boxer. ....But, this is the daily reality of over 80% of Nigerian citizens plying the roads. If you are lucky to escape accidents, what about bandits and kidnappers?!! Anthony Joshua will probably not return to this country for a very long time to come... Kemi Badenoch will be drawing his ears, and telling him "I warned you". Chiwetel Ejiofor (top Hollywood actor) lost his father in such circumstances, and carries the scar/reminder on his forehead till date.

1144AK:Can you step out of your anchor bias and view issues objectively? They’re more cadres and specialties of health care personals in the UK than in Nigeria. The minimum wage for a nurse is approximately £12/hour (24000 NGN) that’s the monthly take home of nurses in Nigeria. I haven’t spoken about EMTs, paramedics, medical technicians, doctor assistants, etc Secondly medications and supplies, the NHS uses nothing but the best medical equipment, supplies and medications, we don’t have to mirror them, we can always leverage on cheaper options from China and India. We have the money to transform our health sector. Even Gaza had ambulances. Let’s stop with the excuses. Politicians spend more than the countries budget annually on healthcare for themselves and their families. I know about medical tourism, and those who patronize it. |

Una all no get sense. Road no good for many years, government did its job and fixed the road, now school dropouts who are fortunate to receive God’s Favour turned the road into a car race venue, you still say government should build hospitals throughout the stretch of the road |

It's not a rocket science to have road safety ambulances ready on every 30km interval on this highways, all these frsc officials are only interested in collecting money from motorists what a shame |

Nigeria should be more proactive on safety first than talk about emergency, as a driver why would you drive on high speed and overtake, who is chasing you? And y no one want to be patience to be alive, let's tackle the cause of accident, so more not to happen than talk about emergency, cos with safety and safe driving emergency won't even be working, cos every one will be cautious, this apply to only manmade accident, like overtaking, speeding, drinking and driving or any hard substance, not applicable to bad road or mechanical caused accidents |

Na today? Ants are more organised than the Nigerian emergency services. No structure, no clear process, always milling around like confused sheep. No one has a responsibility, they improvise on the spot. Review footage from building collapses and you'll see what I mean. Glimpsetv: |
