Nnamdi Kanu will beat Tinubu hands down in any free and fair election
Oh yeah, he sure will. Let him run for president of the Sokoto prison I'm sure that Tinubu is not interested in that grin
Re: Anthony Joshua Accident Sparks Outrage Over Nigeria’s Emergency Response System by Eriokanmi:
One man would have died last weekend, had i not arrived on time at the scene of the accident. He was riding a bike on the express in ogun state and was hit. We met him lifeless. We were coming from a ceremony in abeokuta so I stopped and quickly rushed to the scene. Everybody was taking pictures while some others were seen recording a video of his lifeless body. Some women were wailing.

On arriving the place, I chased all of them away, lifted his head a bit and applied a CPR on him. About 10 minutes later, he came back. He had a severe head injury. After resuscitating him, I called on a keke to take him to a nearby hospital. I removed his phone from his pocket and handed it over to him. I ensured he regained his full consciousness before I left the scene.

I'm so sure, had someone experienced in a CPR arrived that scene, those guys accompanying AJ would have been brought back. Nigeria is full of useless leaders and useless followers. This is a disgrace to our emergency response system as a nation, despite having the best hands all over the world. Tinubu is busy receiving treatment as we speak in france but he deceived his followers he was going to Europe on vacation. The country in Europe wasn't mentioned. Na which kain country be dis sef?

You are wrong.
Budgets are not compared in such manner.
The UK has a higher wage system and would need a bigger budget by a larger factor.
There are countries that operate a decent healthcare system with lesser budget.

Calling into the discussion the wasted resources by politician on foreign treatment.

While you have chosen to be the devils advocate and continually spill vile rhetoric on this platform, the truth that corruption is our albatross will always prevail.
It's approx. 50% that is spent on wages, Oga, not "by a larger factor" as you want to make it seem.

The negligence of the driver must have led to this avoidable accident. Probably he was trying to impress Tony with his fast and furious skills angry

But then again,do we even have emergency response team in this country? angry. Pray you shouldn't be in such condition..

The worst of all, people who should be rescuing and providing first aid treatment would be taking pictures angry

We really have a very long way to go in this part of the world angry

Anyways, thank God for Tony's life and rip to the departed souls.🙏
How do you blame the driver.. if the driver was very reckless, then there should be no survival...

The long-truck stationed on major highway without Warning sign of breaking down vehicle on the road.. or diversion sign... Should be blame..

Complete lack of responsibility on the part of Joshua being inside a vehicle speeding on a pothole filled road and probably high on alcohol too. Could he have done that in the UK?

I'm your fan but completely ashamed of you for this incident that you're too old to be found engaging in. You just got involved in the avoidable death of 2 people due to recklessness.

AJ you just lost the respect of a fan and I don't think you can ever regain my respect back but I remain your fan.
He wasn't the driver judging by where he was seated in the car.

Dem carry am for road safety hilux abi? He has finally experienced the Lagos Tinubu built.

Snark aside, this is a shame and disgraceful plus has the potential to truncate Joshua's career. You don't survive that level of impact without serious spinal strains or broken ribs of some sort. G forces can be brutal and at the speed they were driving at, it can only be imagined how many G forces his body encountered at such a rapid deceleration event.

No ambulances, no health professionals nearby just a mob of people with phones viewing and road safety officials who probably lack training on how to properly carry accident victims.

Joshua will not be fighting anytime soon.
.
My man should have just stayed back in the UK. Nigeria is something else. He has learnt his lesson albeit in a hard way. Souls have gone to the land beyond. Joshua, pls, stay away from here for now. Stay away. Our country is not safe for you. If you must come here, prepare like a global celebrity or else...

Ogun State fall hand sha. Lagos is far better in terms of emergency response. FG should also have emergency response on the expressway which is theirs. All so shameful.

It's a country, Nigeria, where Mullahs have been in charge all the years. Don't expect any modernity except some eye service types.
The mentality of an average Nigerian has been shaped by the desires of the Mullahs.
It's almajiri mentality everywhere. Mullahs only objective is how to take total control of Nigeria and its oil and gas deposits.
Tony Joshua was lucky he was not hit. He would have died before any help could come.

Emergency Response can't exist in a nation where basic healthcare is nonexistent in nearly every part of the nation.

Everyone is acting enraged all because it happened to a Celebrity boxer.

....But, this is the daily reality of over 80% of Nigerian citizens plying the roads.

If you are lucky to escape accidents, what about bandits and kidnappers?!!

Anthony Joshua will probably not return to this country for a very long time to come... Kemi Badenoch will be drawing his ears, and telling him "I warned you".

Chiwetel Ejiofor (top Hollywood actor) lost his father in such circumstances, and carries the scar/reminder on his forehead till date.

Can you step out of your anchor bias and view issues objectively?
They’re more cadres and specialties of health care personals in the UK than in Nigeria.
The minimum wage for a nurse is approximately £12/hour (24000 NGN) that’s the monthly take home of nurses in Nigeria. I haven’t spoken about EMTs, paramedics, medical technicians, doctor assistants, etc

Secondly medications and supplies, the NHS uses nothing but the best medical equipment, supplies and medications, we don’t have to mirror them, we can always leverage on cheaper options from China and India.

We have the money to transform our health sector. Even Gaza had ambulances.

Let’s stop with the excuses.

Politicians spend more than the countries budget annually on healthcare for themselves and their families. I know about medical tourism, and those who patronize it.

It's not a rocket science to have road safety ambulances ready on every 30km interval on this highways,

all these frsc officials are only interested in collecting money from motorists

what a shame
Re: Anthony Joshua Accident Sparks Outrage Over Nigeria’s Emergency Response System by emperor4love(m): 9:13pm On Dec 29, 2025
Nigeria should be more proactive on safety first than talk about emergency, as a driver why would you drive on high speed and overtake, who is chasing you? And y no one want to be patience to be alive, let's tackle the cause of accident, so more not to happen than talk about emergency, cos with safety and safe driving emergency won't even be working, cos every one will be cautious, this apply to only manmade accident, like overtaking, speeding, drinking and driving or any hard substance, not applicable to bad road or mechanical caused accidents

Lol.

Your country is a broke country because the leaders don't want us to be like the UK.

Oga, you guys don't get it. Even if they return all the looted money, it won't change anything.

It will soon run out ..

There's certainly something working against the black race. I've uncovered some of them and we can solve this but people aren't ready to support my project
Your project is dead on arrival because there is nothing wrong with the black race.

Na today?

Ants are more organised than the Nigerian emergency services.

No structure, no clear process, always milling around like confused sheep. No one has a responsibility, they improvise on the spot.

Review footage from building collapses and you'll see what I mean.
