Look, our health budget is 6 billion dollars.

That's not even enough for one hospital.

For contrast in the UK, the NHS budget is 300 billion dollars

Just shows that our country's leaders don't know how to raise money and Nigerians, only ten million of 230 million pay tax.

The way Nigerians expect miracles sha. That's why we have tinubu ruling over us cheesy
We pay vat and numerous indirect tax. You can't tax poverty.
Make the system corruption free and see how money will be generated.

Nigerians should be angry.
If you are not angry but decide to defend the system and the status quo then you need to get a thorough rehab.
Lack of emergency response system is the reason we jump to the conclusion that unconscious injured accident victims are dead
Oga do you expect any better, dont you know the life expectancy at birth for a Nigerian is likely the lowest in Africa?
You think Trump did not know what he was saying when he called naija a disgrace of a country? Where is your president spending the next few days as announced, no be Europe?

Vat raised 6.72 trillion.naira in 2024.

All those indirect taxes at best can't raise up to ten trillion nationwide

Our budget next year is 55 trillion naira or 28 billion pounds sterling.

UK health budget is 274 billion pounds for 2024.

Oga, I am not excusing government..I am showing you how bad your government is that they cannot raise the money we need to run first class health services . E get why.

It starts by voting out tinubu and voting in sane leaders and also acceoting that we can't run an economy based on sharing money from Abuja. Everyone has to pull their weight. And taxes where only ten million pay for a country of 230 million does not make sense regardless of who is on power

I keep asking myself, who do this country this bad thing. Our wickedness and evil mindset will never allow good thing come close. Even in the mind of an average responder in this scene is to be left alone so he can steal everything in the car including his gold chain. If he resist might eliminate the injured to wade off his belongings.
Look at the response a former world title holder is receiving, he should thank his stars that he was at the back of the SUV and survived.
Nigeria is not a country to be proud of even living in a farther land. I claim from Caribbean, the moment you mention I'm from Nigeria to a stranger, they distance themselves rather than sharing information with you.

Nigerians love to talk about having a good health care system. They don't like to talk about how they will pay for it.

Dem carry am for road safety hilux abi? He has finally experienced the Lagos Tinubu built.

Snark aside, this is a shame and disgraceful plus has the potential to truncate Joshua's career. You don't survive that level of impact without serious spinal strains or broken ribs of some sort. G forces can be brutal and at the speed they were driving at, it can only be imagined how many G forces his body encountered at such a rapid deceleration event.

No ambulances, no health professionals nearby just a mob of people with phones viewing and road safety officials who probably lack training on how to properly carry accident victims.

Joshua will not be fighting anytime soon.
Leave Tinubu's Lagos out of this toxic rant of your's! The accident location is NOT in Lagos State. Don't sound IRRESPONSIBLE here due to toxic hate and disinformation!

That accident took place in the Ogun State section of the newly reconstructed Lagos-Ibadan expressway on his way to Makun.

The rest of your post was quite valid BUT your toxic hate for Tinubu didn't let you realize that the infamous accident (involving AJ and his two friends who died sitting in the front car seats) due to over speeding did NOT occur in Lagos State. Period.

Come, did anyone call the emergency team or an ambulance and they didn't show up? 🤔 Or what bi all did hulabalooo? In a sane country, passers-by won't venture near the accident spot talk less of trying to rescue 🙄

The outrage must be from non-Nigerians.

An average Nigerian understands that s/he is a walking corpse. Most of those multi-million naira mansions have no first aid box inside.

People speed knowing that they are one accident away from joining their ancestors. From Okigwe to Port-Harcourt along the Enugu-PH expressway has more than 20 mortuaries without a single hospital or Emergency center. Go figure!

I always say this whenever there is a story on emergency. No ambulance, no police or emergency response.
He is VIP that's why they didn't put him in the back of the hilux.
Ambulancea are seen in government house and are just a show of class when they follow the governors around.
Nigeria missed it's way a long time ago, misfitted leaders at all levels, misguided public and mistaken destination for a country so rich to have been competing neither the USA, China or Dubai today.

One man would have died last weekend, had i not arrived on time at the scene of the accident. He was riding a bike on the express in ogun state and was hit. We met him lifeless. We wre coming from a ceremony in abeokuta so I stopped and quickly rushed to the scene. Everybody was taking pictures while some others were seen recording a video of his lifeless body. Some women were wailing.

On arriving the place, I chased all of them away, lifted his head bit and applied a CPR on him. About 10 minutes later, he came back. He had a severe head injury. After resuscitating him, I called in a keke to take him to a nearby hospital. I removed his phone from his pocket and handed it over to him. I ensured he regained his full consciousness before I left the scene.

I'm so sure, had someone experienced in a CPR arrived that scene, thise guys accompanying AJ would have been brought back. Nigeria is full of useless leaders and useless followers. This is a disgrace to our emergency response system as a nation, despite having the best hands all over the world. Tinubu is busy receiving treatment as we speak in france but he deceived his followers he was going to Europe in vacation. The country in Europe wasn't mentioned. Na which kain country be dis sef?

English is one of my areas of specialization for decades now and I know full well how to use it verbally and more.

Effective communication or sentence construction is key when online and offline.

You indeed made reference to "snark aside" in your SECOND paragraph BUT there's absolutely NO connection between the FIRST and second paragraphs to indicate any form of "snark, SARCASM or SATIRE" on your part.

Your reference to "Tinubu's Lagos" is what irked me initially as that car accident NEVER took place in Lagos State BUT right in Ogun State.

Online communication can be tricky sometimes as one can easily get misconstrued when using sarcasm or satire. Since you've explained yourself better, I'll let things slide. Period.

Accidents don’t respect status or geography. Whether it was the tragic loss of Diogo Jota in Spain, the helicopter crash of Herbert Wigwe in California, or this incident with Anthony Joshua, the reality is the same: life is fragile everywhere.
Instead of just using this to bash the system, we should realize that at the moment of impact, whether you’re in a first-world country or Nigeria, you are just a human being. Tragedy is universal and can happen to anyone, anywhere. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
I strongly disagree with your submission, we should "bash" the system!, there is no reason not to do so! The leaders in Nigeria do not value themselves or anyone else, that why their priority is making money from position of leadership! Anybody can be in emergency, what happens next if there is no standard response?

What is the real work of FRSC. Instead of doing their primary functions, they stationed them selves near police and army check points and used small boys selling mineral and biscuit on the road to collect bribes
