Once youre travelling at 100kmph or below, you'll be fine, even if you hit a stationary truck.

But nobody can blame this on bad roads, any other thing but bad road as everybody knows Lagos Ibadan expressway is not bad.

It's so solid that you might be tempted to press the throttle beyond your normal range, don't yield to that temptation, that thing will always be pushing you punch it, press it just a little don't fall for it o, its like that thing telling you is a spirit.

This accident was 90% due to driver's carelessness and he should be prosecuted!

The truck was at the right side the driver is at the left, he had an impact with the truck parked at the right by it was not a total head on collision

How does one intentionally avoid using his own left side to hit a truck parked by the right which he would most likely be trying to avoid, the right side would be affected more nau because the first instinct would most likely be to try swerving back to the left though too late not necessarily intentional.

True to God, with my over 15 yrs experienced in driving, seeing the position of the truck, the condition and damaged to the Lexus… I knew instantly that the accident was avoidable. It was a reckless driving and excessive speed. I’ve been a constant traveler in recent months. At least, I’ve used that Lagos-Ibadan express way more than 12 times this year to-fro and I call testify that, that road isn’t bad at all. It may not be perfect but it’s near perfect, smooth, wide and very few pot-holes. The same route I normally targeted 1 hr to drive from Ibadan to Berger? Most times I nearly meet up. That road isn’t bad Abeg

I used a hypothetical figure, and it could had been travelling at that speed when it crashed and considering that it crashed into a stationary object that is way more heavier, it could easily be damaged beyond recognition.

Study physics to know better.

A rear end collision even at 40km/h will most likely end in fatality because the hard high bed of that trailer will cut off the roof and pillar and crush skulls or decapitate passengers of the car as the car slides under that truck.

It always ends in a gory sight.

All this talk of emergency response is "medicine after death".

All things being equal, staying safe by driving same is ones best bet because there are different layers of madness out to snort the life out of a person.

After one has dealt with lack/poor emergency response, let's not forget hospital drama of police report or being referred from Jerusalem to Golgotha (oh I forgot they are on strike sef).
