You must be a joker. You are underrating a sitting Govorship election with a sitting Govornor. Even Tinubu would want to work with Fubara for 2027 and not wike.

The decampment of Fubara to APC is what has changed the game.

Now the APC has a sitting Govornor in Rivers something that has eluded them for over 25years,you think they will leave it for Wike?

In the end, Tinubu will weigh his chances and back one of them making the other to go rogue. Wike is already preparing for that by prepping up another political party to fly his candidate. Whether APC/Tinubu will choose to oppose him or not depends on whether he wants to risk the ire of Wike and get his dirty linens washed in public. When Wike says agreement is agreement, he is not referring to Fubara.

you dont know the power of a sitting governor especially the federal ruling party. do you think governors from other state defecting to the ruling party are dumb. immunity to many election malpractices is guaranteed

When you are River state governor you are automatically powerful, it doesn't matter who's there but the office. Fubara won't go down without a fight and if he knows the kind of power he weird I don't think that Wike will stand a chance.

I am supporting neither of the two. I am enjoying the political chess game going on in River state.

I believe that whoever the president backs in 2027 will come out on top and I see him pitching his tent with the governor after all his reelection isn't guaranteed and he needs Rivers to consolidate to power. My one cent shaa.

Look at the scenario, Tinubu will never allow the House of Assembly to impeach Fubara, it's part of the agreement.
No matter any allegation!
Fubara will spend state funds for campaign purposes. From 2026 everything he does will be to build support for his aspiration.
If Turaki led PDP fraction succeeds, Wike will be a stranger in PDP.

I believe fubara is a smart guy if not for the deceivers that pitched him against Wike.
I'm pretty sure Fubara will not contest but he will sit back to gain people's sympathy and work his way into grassroot thereafter he can then contest after d next 8years as a man that's made himself and win for a another tenure.
This is obviously the turn of the Ogoni's and I'm sure magnus Abe will be in d consideration.
