The #sultanofsilence is once again living up to his name! So sad. This guy is supposed to be the spiritual leader of 108 million Muslims.

Yet here we are... the US, supposedly with the help of the Nigerian govt., five days ago waged a deadly attack in his own back yard -- Sokoto wasn't by accident! -- and killed hundreds of known terrorists who were operating there freely.

No doubt his subjects are looking for spiritual guidance in how best to understand this development. Yet so far he has said NOTHING publicly about it. Once again -- SILENCE.

If you're innocent and not complicit, Sultan, it's easy to clear the air: Condemn the terrorists. Thank the US for helping wipe them out. Call for an end to the killing of innocent people in your kingdom (including blasphemy killings). Say that you're against the rampant black market sale of minerals from under your nose.

It's not hard. Why the silence?

It's almost like he's been read his Miranda Rights (a US requirement for anyone being arrested) -- "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law..."

Is he following the old wisdom -- Better to keep your mouth shut and let people assume you're (guilty), than open it and prove them right?

The Sultan is the most hypocritical person in Nigeria. How can you have a loud voice when there is alleged blasphemous claims against Islam, but very quiet when there is evidenced killings carried out by islamic groups.

He may have condemned the bandits slightly in past to appear good, but his silence in the face of the USA bomb in sokoto, he need to say something.

He is still in shock. He never believed what happened. If the operation was orchestrated internally, someone would have given him info and he would have asked his "boys" to evacuate before the strikes. I love the way the operation was carried out, no noise to alert the terrorists that thunder was about to strike. They were all caught unprepared.

He's not in charge of his territory

It was intentionally to provoke the caliphate, that was the essence of the attack not a single reason to fight terrorism, bandits are not fighting for Islam, unlike Boko Haram, his silence is the best treatment for you guys.

Which CAN leader came out to condemn Nnamdi Kanu's acts of terrorism? Many even defended him and they still go to visit him in the prison.

Moreover, why should the Sultan of Sokoto be busy condemning attacks everytime? Is one condemnation not enough? Does Tinubu come out to condemn every robbery that occurs in the country?

Most importantly, is the Sultan 9f Sokoto the commander in chief of the federation?

You came to a terrorist sympathiser's home to drop missile and you think he'll be cool with that? His source of income is under threat naw.
