Post by Mike Arnold, a formal US Mayor. The post criticises the Sultan of Sokoto for remaining silent after a US airstrike on 25 December 2025 targeted ISIS camps in the region, killing multiple terrorists according to AFRICOM reports, implying his complicity by contrasting it with his usual vocal stance on perceived insults to Islam. It includes a satirical cartoon juxtaposing the Sultan's loud condemnations of blasphemy and hijab rights with his total silence on the strikes, underscoring accusations of selective outrage amid Nigeria's ongoing jihadist threats. X reactions echo the post's tone, with users labelling the Sultan a terrorism enabler alongside figures like Sheikh Gumi, and demanding arrests, reflecting deep regional tensions over alleged state complicity in northern Nigeria's insecurity. The #sultanofsilence is once again living up to his name! So sad. This guy is supposed to be the spiritual leader of 108 million Muslims.https://x.com/i/status/2006123436746121515

Same with MURIC because it is waiting for his oga to talk first. Perhaps the ripple effects of shells that were tossed @ his backyard is yet to settle. Many of their foot soldiers have been obliterated to meet virgins in aljanna. Ogbona feli feli |

The Sultan is the most hypocritical person in Nigeria. How can you have a loud voice when there is alleged blasphemous claims against Islam, but very quiet when there is evidenced killings carried out by islamic groups. |
| Re: The Silence Of Sultan Of Sokoto Is Very Sad_Mike Arnold by Arkmanbuddy(m): 8:49am On Dec 31, 2025 |
I've never liked the Sultan, infact the Sultanate is an aberration! The major duty of the office is defending Islam, no matter the offences of it's adherence. It's just pathetic! |

"The shrewd one has seen the calamity and proceeds to conceal himself but the inexperience press along and suffer the penalty" (Read Proverbs 27:11) He has every right to remain silent. What if the terrorists and bandits decide to teach him a lesson. "There's a time to be silent and a time to speak"(Read Ecclesiastes 3:7) |

I also have bad news for many. The Sultan of Sokoto has in the past condemned bandits and terrorists. This will be very painful for many to hear.

He may have condemned the bandits slightly in past to appear good, but his silence in the face of the USA bomb in sokoto, he need to say something. |

He is still in shock. He never believed what happened. If the operation was orchestrated internally, someone would have given him info and he would have asked his "boys" to evacuate before the strikes. I love the way the operation was carried out, no noise to alert the terrorists that thunder was about to strike. They were all caught unprepared. |

It was intentionally to provoke the caliphate, that was the essence of the attack not a single reason to fight terrorism, bandits are not fighting for Islam, unlike Boko Haram, his silence is the best treatment for you guys. So you can do whatever you think you can do. |

Sultan of Sokoto is the grand patron of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore and MACBAN. He's their head, lots of Hausas are pointing at him 📌💯. Islamabad will say he doesn't doesn't have military power but he can declare fatwah and lynnching of innocent people 🤷🏿.

Morbeta11:Please keep the hypocrisy! Which CAN leader came out to condemn Nnamdi Kanu's acts of terrorism? Many even defended him and they still go to visit him in the prison. Moreover, why should the Sultan of Sokoto be busy condemning attacks everytime? Is one condemnation not enough? Does Tinubu come out to condemn every robbery that occurs in the country? Most importantly, is the Sultan 9f Sokoto the commander in chief of the federation? Please keep this hypocritic write-up in the trash where it belongs. |

You came to a terrorist sympathiser's home to drop missile and you think he'll be cool with that? His source of income is under threat naw. Only the chairman of the LGA where the attack happened has been able to confirm so far, that the missiles truly hit terrorists dens. Why is he keeping them in his backyard, allowing the government to keep budgeting on available wars? |

What you want him to say, he remain the sultan nothing change. We are solidly behind him. All Muslims remain loyal to him. |

You think it was a coincidence that sokoto is their coordinating and logistics Centre? You guys think izlam is a thing to joke with. An average muzlim agrees and is in support of all the actions of these people. It is only that the world still holds a moral value system that is why they are not bold enough to come out with their full chest to declare where they stand. |
