DomPerignon:I didn't even notice the cabinet thing, can you imagine such a clear pointer to how things would be run? I saw a video of a silly woman listing all the provinces and her silly followers cheering each name, they actually put about three Igodomigodo provinces there, Esan, Afemai and one other. After they will be crying that Nigeria should let them have their Biafra, bia, since when has Urhobo, Afemai and Esan being Biafra. Longer throat to the nth power, dem never set up dere country, dem don dey start dere expansionist mission. |

aswani:I am afraid only another resounding heavy beaten will reset their brains and make them stop seeing any inch of SS as their territory to conquer and annex. That's why you see them cheering on Palestinian genocide because that's what they intend to repeat with their Biafra. Also, not that out of the 3 major tribes, only the Yoruba had a totally different mindset about what independence meant. The Hausa Fulani couldn't wait to restart their Jihad but this time soft jihad which Belewa deployed with good effect by uniting the north and giving opportunities to every northerner irrespective of tribe or religion. Belewa believed in due time the pagan provinces will naturally convert to Islam with such policies in place. As for the ibos, their understanding of an independent Nigeria was one where they continued where the British left off an assume the title as the new internal colonizers. This is why the Eastern region was the most divisive owing to excessive ibo marginalization of the minority people . That same mindset is why Ojukwu saw the minority provinces as IBO territory inherited from the British Eastern Nigeria and declared his Biafra after Gowon finally carved out states for the minority people. |

DomPerignon:Good shout again sir. I think you meant Ahmadu Bello instead of Balewa but you are right, even the Yorùbá's in modern day Kogi, Sardaunna was bending over backwards to accommodate them and make them feel Northern despite their clear AG leanings. This particular thing you mentioned is understated and buried in the sands of time. Per the Eastern Region, remember the Southern Cameroounians decided they no longer wanted to be marginalised in the Eastern region and left. I wonder who caused it? |

aswani:Nobody wanted to be with them Benue and parts of southern Taraba were once part of Southern Protectorate. When the British decided to Balkanize the southern protectorate into Western and Eastern Nigeria, those guys told the British that they will rather be yoked to the north than be in same region with the Ibos in Eastern Nigeria. While Ahmadu Bello was uniting tribes in the north and the Yoruba were bending to minority demands to have their own region(Midwestern region was decided and concluded in the regional house in Ibadan. The majority Yoruba did not oppose it and a Yoruba man moved the motion for a plebescite), in the Eastern Region, majority Ibos were shutting down any talk of secession by the minorities to leave the Eastern region for the ibos. The minorities had to take their demands to the Federal House and had secured the needed support from the Western, northern and Midwestern region in 1965. The matter was deferred to 1966 when the House will reconvene after the Christmas break and was placed on the docket as a priority issue . That is when they struck. Today they are begging for referendum |
