Friendly reminder that Raya has made two vital saves in our last two matches which would have turned the momentum of the game. It’s good to remember moments like this when we win the league. Also, if them born prem league well, make them no include him for team of the year. |

Fkforyou:Raya has proven himself in my books. Like I can defend Raya anywhere now. It is one of Arteta’s decision that I can now confidently argue for. This man continues to make unbelievable saves. He had no business making that save against Villa, like absolutely none. In the past you can argue he has Saliba/ Gabu in front of him, which is fair but man has also showed up and no push over. The best goalkeeper in the EPL and top 3 in the world right now. |

Roland17:Spot On. But I’m still concerned that he is still not the No 1 for the Spanish NT. |

iamoyindamola:VG hides behind defenders. Assuming I see defenders running at him If agree, but he runs behind defenders and his team mates can't find him. The goal GJ scored, you see him evade marking by stepping back and taking the pass from Trossard. If na VG, he go run follow defenders like trailer without brakes |

Roland17:That their midfield over choke, dem wan kill man city players. I hope they can hang on for the remaining 10 minutes thereabouts. I respect the way they're holding their own despite missing key players to AFCON and injuries. I hope they qualify for European competition this season |

If any team gets unfairly favoured by the refs, it would be man city but it won't be a topic for the pundits because it's not Arsenal. Pep do and be going by the end of the season Biko. it's the respect some of those referees have for him that's making them favour city unfairly just like the Sir Alex Ferguson days and Game over, bravo Sunderland!

4 points clear is a good way to start the new year I hope this will weaken city further to drop more points, have always been confident they will meet their own. I underrated Sunderland because they are missing key players, I beg arteta and the boys more of villa performance no more holding back. COYG |

Fkforyou:Of all the good keepers we've had from Leno, Martinez, Ramsdale and Raya during Arteta's time at Arsenal, Raya has proven himslef to be the greatest. I know he's had his down moments too but his saves have proven to be really vital for us. I've seen him make saves that no other goalkeeper playing for other top EPL teams can pull off. The guy deserves accolades for his unbelievable saves. I'm sure if he wins the league with Arsenal the Spanish national team coach won't have any other excuse for not starting him as Spain's number 1 |

dominique:Absolutely! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them since their promotion this time around. They are such a difficult side to play against because they are tactically disciplined. I hope they get an Europa or conference league spot because they deserve it. Happy New Year! |

Fkforyou:He has had a strong season thus far, his strongest if you ask me. There is no way U. Simon keeps number one if we go all the way. |

BlueRayDick:Well except the Spanish team has their own bias which is the case here, Raya is the undisputed number 1 whether we have lifted a trophy or not. If you take a look at Rayas performance and catalogue in 2025, He has made some saves that you would have no option than to applaud him. I will give you a scenario, in the viewing center where I watched the match, I mean the Aston Villa match, we were so stunned by that Rayas’ save that we took some few seconds to react to it because everyone including me had believed it has entered. Even the Man U fan sitting beside me admitted that Raya was good and even at some point started rooting for us. On my part, in my head I was like “Omo this guy na keeper Abeg” reflexes choke. |

Fkforyou:Well, I quite agree with you but that number 1 spot won't be offered to him on a platter. Joan Garcia is also a good goalie. I've been following him since the transfer saga. Unai Simon might need to sit out. It's between Raya and Garcia now. Raya has an edge though. |

BlueRayDick:Imagine. We scored 4 goals against one of the best teams in the league while playing tge 'CBs' at fullback. But those wey dey play attacking players at FB dey struggle to score. Las las they'll be alright. |

Sell Nwaneri and get Rogers from Villa. A fan suggested it today and I got mixed feelings. |

With just one Tough Away fixture in 19, i expect us to do justice to the rest. 19games and 11 clean sheets is not a heavy ask at this rate. COYG❤️💯

We had the toughest run in and depleted with injuries yet we maintained the points difference This is moral booster for the team, we are getting our injured players back too

iamoyindamola:like..., I don't know between this year and last year which one is worse when it comes to injuries, but shout out to the players for always giving their best no matter the condition and position they play. They are all playing with a purpose this season. To me Trossard and Rice are the ones that play with more passion, like they hate every opponent we play and wants to beat them. Lastly, shout out to Arteta for learning from last year's mistakes and managing injuries better, Bertha for a nice business. Let's see how it ends by May. |
