There is a difference between political dominance and coercive intimidation. What is happening now is coercision and intimidation. We saw it play out in PDP, LP, NNPP and so on. We saw how state of emergency was courts were used to intimidate and coerce politics in Rivers state. We saw how a deposed emir is still acting as emir, protected by military escort. Emirship is a state office created by state constitution, what is FG's business with what the governor and house decide to do with the office?

PDP was dominant under OBJ, but governors were not threatened with federal force and coerced to defect to the ruling party. Opposition states like Lagos, Anambra, Borno etc survived. Courts overturned rigged elections like Peter Obi in Anambra.

Under GEJ, APC grew, merged, campaigned freely, even used mock coffins of the sitting President. They won, GEJ conceded power. In fact, that alone destroys whatever lies you cooked up.

Under the current administration, pressure and force is used to bring politicians into the party. They have used courts to undermine political parties. They destroyed PDP and LP.

Where is Apapa today? They were using him to fight Abure, calling him factional chairman, but immediately party leaders removed Abure, Apapa disappeared, now they claim Abure is the chairman.

This all sounds funny until repercussions start. All the things APC did today will come back to hunt them. The democracy that Yar'Adua and GEJ started rebuilding which they have destroyed, it will come back knocking on their doors. Simple cause and effect.
