Shocking CCTV footage captures the moment a gang of thieves broke into a popular gadget store (Amytechworld) on January 1, 2026, and completely emptied it of brand new electronics.

In this 10-minute compilation from multiple security cameras, you can clearly see at least 5-6 men systematically smashing display cases, packing dozens of iPhones, laptops, televisions, and accessories into large bags, and carting everything away – all within minutes. The organized robbery left the store owner devastated, with goods worth millions of naira stolen in a single raid.

Faces of several suspects are visible in the footage, raising hopes that authorities or the public may help identify them.

This incident highlights the growing concern over store burglaries and the need for stronger security measures.

If you recognize any of the individuals shown, please contact the nearest police station or the store owner immediately.
You did not mention the store or the area, you said they should reach out to owner....how?

The caption is actually misleading, from the date on the top right of the CCTV screen, this incident was recorded on the 22nd of May 2025 and not on New year day . . .Hope the security agencies were able to round them up.

What's the essence of having security cameras that cannot notify you of when there is movement in it's field of view, and then give you an option to trigger an alarm that would have halted the process and attract attention whole you call security agents.

I suspect most people put it up for decoration without knowing it's proper use and purpose
If every motion triggers alarm, it's still the same as no alarm because you'll have 100s false alarm.

Capturing their faces is enough for security agencies to do the rest.

Hmmm..... they're just interested in posting the video ... not catching the thieves. Why no details? .o location no date. In such case ... screen shot best shots of the individuals...link up with a popular TV station ...post the photos and even a mere N500 k reward will soon bring results. The one in the blue slacks and dark shirt ..looks like the leader.....how many people wear that combination? Why wouldn't his neighbour remember him? Reward is the fastest way of catching these criminals..if not ...who cares?

They are done for.
When they get arrested they will now be showing regretful face expression. And say the shop owner to forgive them that they regret their actions

Re: CCTV Footage:Thieves Loot Entire Gadget Store On New Year’s Day(photos,Video) by faoogoke(m): 9:39am On Jan 02
If eventually they are caught, they will not recover the stolen items.

Stores like this should have a safe/fire proof cabinet where they keep the most expensive items.

In addition a trigger alarm ought to have been installed too.

So sad!

What the owner needs to ask security. He should be honest about if anyone bought him drink or anything. Cos how did they go back and forth without security not knowing. Witt all the lights on.

CCTV comes with alarm system. This triggers the stationed security unit within radius or in patrol teams. Our security archeture as a country is back and outdated. The system automation is not working and systematically their is no alarm unit either privatised or not. Billionaires don't want to invest in the security because they are afraid of paying tax.
Tax is here to stay. Wire transfer chunk money , pay tax.. Next Govt will complie to it or reform it.

I am wondering too, you installed cctv in your store, and you can't be taking a glance to check on your phone at least every 20 minutes when you are far away. What then is the usefulness of cctv you installed?

This footage was recorded on the 22nd of May, 2025; it is not possible that this even happened in December, 2025 talk less of New Year's day 2026. The time stamp is on the CCTV footage. Just take a look at it and confirm what I am saying.
