Perhaps you don't know why we are here. Islam answers the question. The essence of our creation is to worship our Lord, Allah. Every other thing is secondary so don't chase the world and learn to rest.

Snap out of that line thought, else it ll leave you more depressed..
Trying to find logical answers to "why a man is so preoccupied by this rat race for survival, and at the end, drops dead like any other creature, leaving all he strived to acquire behind" will only land you in a more melancholic mood.
For me, It's safer not to even think about it.

In saner 1st world countries
Monie isn't life.
Family, weather, infrastructures is....

As Benin big reach, no where to go and sit and just get enjoy fresh air neatly.
No parks, no library....nothing

Y life nor go meaningless when all we have is clubs, hotels and bars ( that's basically Nigerian tourism or enjoyment)

No natural sites to visit in safety, even if there was the serenity and supposed beauty is masked by angry faces and thrash littered everywhere

Back then in Dubai, I lived in a high rise building overlooking the bluest sea u'd every see in life.
With 1000naira then, I'll buy a full chicken...air fry it and take to the beach front, if I wasn't there I was chilling at a mini stadium watching or playing soccer
Or I was just galavanting the presitgious Dubai mall
Or I was on the last floor (rooftop) of my residence overlooking the city and plane sighting
Or siting on roadside benches spoting exotic cars over a chilled fruit drink.

All of this for zero cost ...

Nigerian life is not worth it, life is really beautiful over the seas.
Can't live in hell and still goto hell....that's diabolical

Matter and energy are, fundamentally, empty space. At the quantum level, subatomic "particles" are nothing but waves of probability. An electron is not a thing, it's a wave function of probability whose position and momentum are uncertainties.

The hadrons (proton and neutron) are also made of quarks which are are also excitations in the quark field, meaning they're also waves of probability.

So if the fundamental building blocks of the universe, all energy and matter, are zero-volume and sometimes massless waves of probability, and we only perceive this universe on a classical level (when the quantum fields decohere) via electrical impulses from our 5 senses, with electricity itself made of these same wave/particle phenomenon, and interpreted by our brain....then what even is reality?

Physics and philosophy converge to tell us that basically life and the universe are all fundamentally based not on solid material, but on probabilistic waves. If we don't live in a deterministic universe but in a probability universe, nothing really makes any sense: not science, not philosophy, not religion, not even consciousness.

What we know as 'physics' is not really the whole story and cannot possibly be. There was classical mechanics, and then came Newtonian physics, which was then replaced by relativistic/Einstein physics, and now we are in the era of quantum physics. But what comes next? We don't know. That's why I like it whenever Elon Musk talks about "new physics" and the role AGI would play in discovering it... But then after new would come subsequent 'news', on and on.

What I'm driving at is that your thesis, while very interesting, doesn't capture the truth about what life as we know it is. We don't know whether it is probabilistic or deterministic or even probabilistic determinism or deterministic probabilism. The chicken or the egg, which came first?

My brother, the conventional/universal scientific consensus at some point in the not too distant past was that the Earth is flat. So really, who knows what new 'facts' would be ascertained in the future? Who knows if we are in a simulation? If so, that would lean towards determinism in a sense, but then, who are the 'simulators' and to what end? Questions na water.

That's why there is nothing more scientifically objective than good old hedonism, as aptly counseled by the supremely wise King Solomon: "EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY, FOR TOMORROW YOU SHALL KPEME".

The US government print $500 million dollars everyday and also shred to pieces an equivalent amount of old worn out dollars everyday, so the reason why everyone is running around everyday to get a piece of that worthless paper that is shredded to pieces everyday is because you are on a prison planet and certain people with a lot of power have determined to enslave you on this prison planet and harvest your energy and soul.
