⚡Russia's Medvedev:

Some guy called Stubb says Finland’s relations with Russia have changed forever. Agreed. I hope so too.

I hope Russia never repeats the Bolsheviks’ 1917 blunder. Finland’s got to pay for its vile Russophobia. In fact, it’s already paying — Stubb talks, and citizens foot the bill.

LordAdam16:
happy new year chair

food is not iran's problem
iran's problem is that because of sanctions, only seven countries account for 82% of their total exports
china, iraq, uae, turkey, afghanistan, pakistan, india - all of whom are in their neighborhood

to put this in perspective, their persian carpet revenue declined 95%
pakistan, turkey, and india without sanctions have subsumed their market share
lots of things that the likes of turkey, india, indonesia export can be made in iran at excellent quality

the more immediate problem is that china's alternate financial plans are not proceeding quickly enough
as a result, international trade remains very inefficient
if i want to export cassava to anyone on the planet, i make arrangements, and receiving payments will not give me sleepless nights
an iranian company that wants to export to anyone except china will have to figure out a mode of payment
for instance if they want to send it to south africa or nigeria, the rand or naira is not that useful to them
so the company will have to source for someone who also wants to sell to iran and arrange a barter or use a kludgy system to balance payments

if an alternate system existed, iran will be growing at high single digits
even with the constraints, brazil-iran trade has been rising steadily year after year
all of BRICS+ and many non-aligned countries will trade effortlessly with iran if there was an alternate system
take a random brazil - iran dual trade in national currencies, such a system will allow brazil to quickly exchange the tomans they recieve for a unt of a basket of currencies or some other axis currency that they can then use to purchase stuff on the international market from another country and vice versa. all done quickly and efficiently over a blockchain or something similar

the second part is the story of china's domestic consumption
if unsanctioned countries are struggling to break into the chinese market, what hope do iranian companies have
and the chinese market should be their primary lifeline
besides minerals like oil and natural gas, there's not much else iran can produce cheaper and better than a domestic chinese company

these reasons are precisely why the mullahs bent over backwards and even took the suicidal decision not to acquire a nuke in exchange for sanctions removal
they look at turkey, malaysia, thailand and know they are capable of matching if not eclipsing whatever those countries can output
their mates are the likes of south korea and spain
but they can't achieve their potential because they're restrained while the others aren't

this is the fundamental quagmire of iran
but it gets even worse because of the special impediments of the economic system adopted by the mullahs
so the average iranian is like we're in a bad position because of your foreign policy and yet you let cronyism, nepotism, and corruption thrive to make a bad situation worse
the little they have is not efficiently managed but the mullahs have the nerve to enforce restrictive religious laws

in fact, the two best gifts for the mullahs in iran are the persistent hegemonic belligerence against russia/china and satanyahu
if russia were in nato and china wasn't fighting an economic warfare with the west, they would not have invested so much into sanctions busting and economic corridors that exclude the west. without those, iran would have already had its arab spring or gen z upheaval; like a long time ago
and without satanyahu, eventually the reformists would have installed a reformist ayatollah who would proceed to systematically take apart the revolutionary regime bit by bit under the shadow of reforms

-Lord
I wish you the same bro.
Thanks for the nice write up.

The war in Vietnam was an asymmetric warfare fought by the US in the rice jungle in Vietnam..The terrains coupled with the guerrilla warfare caused the US to lose the war.. This type of war was also fought by the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.. The guerrilla style by the mujadeen coupled with the mountainous terrain of Afghanistan cause the Soviets to lose the war.. what's with the stereotype??

One clown said the US or the West can not fight land wars in Asia with foes who have technological parity. what a shame!! dude must be suffering from severe form of memory loss. The US fought and defeated the imperial Japanese empire.. whose military was the largest in the region and the japs also had the largest Navy in the world at that time

The US backed west also drove the North Koreans back from the South Korean capital Seoul all the way to the Chinese North Korea borders.. while factoring that the North Koreans dwarfed the South by both men and material..in addition to the support from the Chinese and then power house the Soviet Union.

When the US invaded Iraq, she had the largest standing army in the region.. the Iraqi military was the most powerful nation in the region at that time.

The clown doubled on his foolery by claiming "americans have generational ptsd about massive overseas troop deployments" What a cliche!! Yet the US remains the country with not only the highest number of foreign military facilities in the world but currently has the most deployed overseas personnel around the world.. The US has PTSD since the Vietnam War, yet the same US has intervened in Iraq, Somalia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Libya, South Korea, Grenada, Panama, etc.😂😂

China is powerful.. what's stopping her from taking Taiwan??..
😂😂😂😂

from year to year two days drills around Taiwan and las las your tent o Israel!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
When you see people with brains in their back pockets 🤣🤣. They're easy to spot. Free the guy jor

Iran protest update
A massive crowd has taken over the streets of Marvdasht, with residents uniting against the Iranian regime in what witnesses describe as one of the city’s largest uprisings. Protesters reportedly overran a local police station as anger boiled over in the relatively small city, signaling widespread defiance.

Regime forces responded with live gunfire, deploying special units on rooftops armed with AK-47s and heavy weapons, alongside helicopters overhead. Authorities sealed off entrances and exits, cut mobile internet access, and dozens of injuries have been reported, yet thousands remain in the streets despite the crackdown.

USA has overplayed this model. Their agents are being picked up by the Iranian special police force and pro-regime rallies are springing up everywhere.

Events like this is precisely why I am unable to trust US intentions in Nigeria although for now, it has had a positive impact (Nigeria has stepped up a bit).
yesterday. the infiltrators burned a quran in hamadan to provoke violence
partly the reason for the huge counter protests today

after 46 post on truth, iranian police commands are sharing a final warning to everyone who attacks a police station or government building that they will be shot at with live rounds
in mardashavt, security services simply turned off the internet and started clearing streets around government installations after an attack on a police armory
this was the surprise an israeli official was saying they still had
well, their agents are being smoked left and right

I share your view that the Iranian government is not necessarily made of good people, but the people demonizing them are far far worse. I don't know what level of desensitization is making you parrot these silly talking points. I'm very sure if someone were to tell you that hed give Nigeria a much better government but you must first agree to lose your legs, your entire family, your house, your job, and be plunged into a decade of unrest you'd curse that person.

Madeleine Albright famously said the sanctions that killed over 500,000 Iraqi children 'was worth it.' The economic hardship Iranians are facing is a direct consequence of the unjust sanctions that USA has placed on them. Be honest. Would you do that to someone you care about?

Go and say that to 8 year-olds please

Get your facts straight. Hijab is compulsory in Iran for all women irrespective of nationality or religious beliefs. It has been so since the Ayatollah Khomeini took power. Didn't you hear about Mahsa Amini? It was after the Mahsa Amini saga that they started disobeying.

From what is happening in Iran I think the reason why Saudi Arabia will continue to have the strongest and most successful form of dictator in that region is because they mind their own business and make friends with both sides

See Nigeria went to the U.N to talk rubbish,
fine the Palestinians are suffering and need help but Nigeria lacks the moral grounds to provide any help to them.. so does Russia, China and Iran this is what I have been saying countries supporting these people are actively carrying out crimes in their region as well. Nigeria should talk about Genocide in Nigeria and Africa first then suggest solutions to the problem ? The moral of the story is mind your business

Good summary, the Soviets advisors had a lot of air defence experts and they shot down thousands of aircraft’s. Let’s tweak your statement to NATO can’t fight land wars without air supremacy.
the us dropped 2.1 million tons of bombs on europe and asia during ww2
during the vietnam war, they dropped over 7 million tons
in laos, unexploded ordinances like the ones we found here in nigeria after the tomahawk strike has killed over 40,000 people since the war ended

that was an unwinnable war
in a letter to President Ford, the Secretary of State Kissinger wrote
in terms of military tactics ... our armed forces are not suited to this kind of war. Even the Special Forces who had been designed for it could not prevail.
army chief of staff during the war general harold johnson conceded that
if anything came out of Vietnam, it was that air power couldn't do the job.
the soviets and especially the chinese were exceptional
and yes, they did a number on american air assets
soviets and chinese directly manned the air defense platforms
still, america dropped three times as many bombs on indochina as they did on two entire continents in ww2 and the viets tore them a new a$$hole

their casualties would have been much higher if they had not literally ran away with their tail between their legs
from 1969, the us redeployed their troops from the front lines to the interior and coast
and their casualty in 1970 dropped by half as a result
from 1970 to 1972 when the paris peace accords were signed, the us unilaterally withdrew over 200,000 troops
the agreement stipulated complete us withdrawal within 60 days
by march of 1973, all us personnel were withdrawn
there was zero attempt to drag it out or seek to reenter

after they left
the axis viets waltzed through and captured the entire south
unifying vietnam under communist rule that exists to this day
the us couldn't cough then and five decades later can't cough about communist rule in vietnam
they were beaten that thoroughly that they don't even think about a rematch

vietnam also reinforced axis military doctrine to build the air force around an effective land fighting force
as opposed to the hegemonic doctrine of building a lethal air force/naval air force and using the army to secure operational gains

russia will not do that because it'll put axis assistance in all future proxy conflicts at risk
maybe if they were in a desperate situation, they might consider it
but not a war they're winning with a generous margin

for instance in the imminent venezuela war
axis ships and crafts will berth/land in colombia or brazil and move supplies and munitions to venezuela through the land borders

anything can be repurposed into a weapon

na so iran flatten the top of a container ship
placed a deck on it and converted it to a drone carrier
