Are you not the same person who says the godfather in Rivers must be allowed to steal Rivers money?

Joker.
Provide the quote.

This is how you guys carry your feeble emotions into political discussions. Even that false narrative you are peddling has been debunked by the minister. You guys are so obsessed with Wike, while vultures like those Fubara dined with recently are sharing state resources.

Now, given the removal of subsidy and increase in allocations to the 36 states, what has Fubara been doing with Rivers State's money? He is receiving more than all the previous governors in Rivers State, but has nothing to show for it. The political crisis is also not an excuse for his failure.

Prior to the emergency rule, he told Rivers people that the crisis was not affecting his performance. The emergency rule ended several months ago, and he still doesn't have a direction. He has also reignited the crisis. You can't hide incompetence, no matter the excuses.

Being a clueless neophyte in politics certainly doesn't help his cause. Unfortunately for him, this is a political year. Let him perform his magic.

So do you expect Nigerians to fight their governors with their bare hands? EFCC that should be independent, is nothing but a toothless bulldog and a tool in the hands of people in Abj. Tell me what happened to the Kogi man that EFCC chairman vowed to jail? Almost all the political criminals, past and present are in one of the political party.

"What it meant was that the federal government was not subsidising just Nigeria, but the whole of West Africa, which we could not afford to do."

Very dark old days!

I would have given President Tinubu 100% for being bold about subsidy removal, but, I won't .. because he fought against it because of Politics , during Jonathan's administration.

Those protests delayed subsidy removal and Nigeria's economic recovery.

Had it been President Jonathan was allowed to remove it, maybe, by now, we would have finished ensuring the bitting effects of it on common man.
Tinubu was right to fight subsidy removal , no refinery was working , compared to now that we have a private refinery fully functional thanks to dangote , it was the perfect time to say goodbye to subsidy.

It's still the president, he's been meddling in state affairs, giving cover to lazy governors and frustrating opposition so they can join him, so how do you ask a president friend to be accountable?

Lagos still gat lots of bad roads, go to oshodi to see lots of open manhole that can swallow more than 100 people at a go (God forbid)

We still have lots of inner roads in bad shape around oshodi whereas oshodi na popular place

Go to Ogun state and you will be shocked, infact Ogun state is the headquarters of bad roads in south west

Go to Oyo state, ondo state, Ekiti state, Osun state etc
SW is the only region in Nigeria?

Subsidy has been removed and they said state governors are getting more money. However, the reality is that our roads are still bad, our healthcare delivery hasn't improved and there is no improvement in our infrastructure.

Nothing has changed, really. Yet we pay more for fuel.
yes in many states, some states are trying. It's up to the citizens of the state to hold their Governors accountable.

Sad, this is the reality will live now, no good road, no healthcare, inflation is all time high, the naira is collapsing, insecurity everywhere.

I mean what are will still doing in this country when the necessary things are not provided, are will going to wait until 2027 election before taking the necessary step.
Re: Every Minister Knew Fuel Subsidy Was Killing Nigeria — Kemi Adeosun by wirinet(m): 11:36pm On Jan 02
We tried different things to stop fuel subsidy. Do you remember Sure-P? We knew that Nigeria has four international borders. And then you are subsidsing, but your own fuel was 44 per cent lower than that sold in other countries, and they are land borders.

“So, sometimes we ended up with a consumption base of like 65 million litres per day. So we did the maths.
I am disappointed kemi Adeosun whom I respect a lot is also avoiding the elephant or rather elephants in the room, which are;
1. Low wages of Nigerian workers. She failed to admit that wages in Nigeria are 200% to 500% lower that wages in other countries.
2. She fails to acknowledge that the main problem of the subsidy regime was not the subsidy itself but corruption. Subsequent governments were too scared to go after the subsidy thieves.

Go and ask Nnaji from Enugu. He is a perfect example for you to carry out your experiment on.

She sued the FG and won the case.
In a few weeks, Edun will be moved to a different Ministry and she will be named Minister of Finance.

What is this one talking about. They are receiving huge amounts now, what are they doing with it? And you are busy rambling to your doom.

The president has nothing to do with their failure. Ask them what they are doing with the money.

Look at the thief in Ibadan who didn't declare that he got 30Billion out of 50 Billion from the FG. Was it Tinubu who stopped him from giving that money to victims of disaster in his state?

The problem with we citizens is that, most times, we always accuse the FG and ignore the states!

Look at what happened in Oyo state. I am sure the victims are blaming the FG. Very few people demand accountability from the state.

Look at Lagos! Massive debt, IGR and FG allocation. If you quote the figures and try to demand explanation with all what those numbers have got the state, you will know it’s been fraud at all level during past and present administration.

How can you tell me a state has such massive debt, IGR and FG allocation but Clean Water is not a basic in the state? Just clean pipe borne water. How do you explain that the ONLY state university in the state can be compared to a cattle ranch.

The point is that, majority of us always blame the FG. We don’t audit our governors!

Yen yen yen, increase allocations to state: but forget the increased wage bill and low purchasing power of the naira.

He bulk of the issue still lies with the president.

We were told that subsidies were the reason Nigeria’s economy was not growing and why there were no developmental projects or good hospitals.
Since the subsidy was removed, the economy has nosedived, there are still no developmental projects, and hospitals are still bad.

Tinubu, where is the money saved from subsidy removal?
Which economy nosedived? Economy that has not been in recession since Tinubu took over

But Nigerians were better off during subsidy regime than now. The question now is where is the subsidy money? Healthcare is not subsidized. education is also not subsidized, infrastructure is terribly decayed, security is completely zero to the extent that another country is the one protecting Nigerians
'Every Minister knew that subsidy was killing" so what is non subsidy doing? Helping Tinubu to buy new presidential jet? New yatch? bullying all the governors into joining apc so that the Tinubu will win 2027 elections. Much funds into the hands of thieving governors who parades themselves as emperors?
Please let the certificate forger tell us how subsidy removal has better the lives of ordinary Nigerians 3 years now.
You cannot have criminals in power and expect removal of subsidy to yield any positive results

The states are not properly utilising the funds they are getting. Rivers State is an example, but we will fix that problem in 2027.
A dead dog is better off than anyone who is expecting Apc to do better for Nigeria.
This guys only gathered to take over power from pdp and now the only thing that matters to them is to keep it at all cost, this reality is so easy to see and comprehend, anyone expecting anything meaningful from the failure of all failures called tpain is worse than a dead dog.

Agbadorians said this same thing when Buhari was seeking re-relection: “he didn’t do much because he’s seeking reelection, he’s going to get tougher and fight corruption in his second term”.

Why recycle the same lines?
