Subsidy has been removed and they said state governors are getting more money. However, the reality is that our roads are still bad, our healthcare delivery hasn't improved and there is no improvement in our infrastructure.

Nothing has changed, really. Yet we pay more for fuel.
The money is for 2027 election 🗳️. You will remember this comment💬 when the time come.

We were promised heaven and earth.

We were told that subsidies were the reason Nigeria’s economy was not growing and why there were no developmental projects or good hospitals.
Since the subsidy was removed, the economy has nosedived, there are still no developmental projects, and hospitals are still bad.

Tinubu, where is the money saved from subsidy removal?
U mean the thief called president

The states are not properly utilising the funds they are getting. Rivers State is an example, but we will fix that problem in 2027.
Oga nothing will change. All states and FG are guilty of this. We first have to address the spending problem our politicians have before giving them more. Subsidy removed but no benefit to people.

It is the same thing that will happen to the additional revenue from taxes they will generate this year from the new tax policy. It will end up being wasted on new SUVs, long convoys, luxury goods and trips. If nothing changes, even if Nigeria finds a way to make additional $100billon overnight, the politicians will only increase their spending pattern. Nothing more.

Lolz, he has shared it across to the defectors. Muftwang recently collected his, and Abba is on his way to collect his, while Nigerians replace the shortfall by being taxed to death! cheesy

If Nigerians like, they should not correct their mistakes in 2027, body go tell them!

Well, I don't blame you Madam Kemi, we have a weak institutional system that aids and abet your crimes. If you had done that forgery in the UK where you were stupidly borrowed from to become Finance Minister, you would have been locked away for a long while and the keys to your cell thrown into the lagoon. But today, you sit in the comfy of a chair and advice people about the standard?? How insightful for a criminal.

Tinubu, where is the money saved from subsidy removal?
Not a single question. Ask Tinubu and ask state governors. The savings are shared. FG took some. States took some. The governors are very happy that the focus is only on Tinubu.

Yet Tinubu and his infamous gang of ojota protesters PROTESTED against removal of fuel ⛽ subsidy during GEJ's govt.
One can only imagine how better Nigeria will be if GEJ continued to 2019. This country would have been competing with Asian tigers by now.

Enjoy the drug baron's regime.
Big fat lies. GEJ inherited a stable economy and ran it aground. He couldn't control his ministers. The monumental corruption through Dieziani is still fresh in our memory. There was no infrastructural development. When the purse became empty he turned to subsidy removal and we said no. If you inherited stable economy with huge purse and you blew all and there's nothing to show for it how can we trust you with savings from subsidy removal?

What has changed? Tinubu removed it, yet keeps borrowing
The money used for subsidy were even borrowed. Remember that we were selling our crude upfront.

Tinubu might decide not to borrow. The effect will be lower deficit budget which will affect infrastructural development. It means that you will develop as your pocket can afford. To reduce borrowing and continue to increase your stock of infrastructure you need to earn more money through taxation.

Agbadorians said this same thing when Buhari was seeking re-relection: “he didn’t do much because he’s seeking reelection, he’s going to get tougher and fight corruption in his second term”.

Why recycle the same lines?
Tell your Governor to use the allocation money very well!

Tinubu has done well to distribute the money accordingly.

Governors have NEVER seen this much money in the History of Nigeria…….. FACT!

"What it meant was that the federal government was not subsidising just Nigeria, but the whole of West Africa, which we could not afford to do."

Very dark old days!

I would have given President Tinubu 100% for being bold about subsidy removal, but, I won't .. because he fought against it because of Politics , during Jonathan's administration.

Those protests delayed subsidy removal and Nigeria's economic recovery.

Had it been President Jonathan was allowed to remove it, maybe, by now, we would have finished ensuring the bitting effects of it on common man.
Jonathan didn't have the guts to manage subsidy removal. A president that inherited stable economy and rich purse and blew all without provision of infrastructure. How can you trust him with savings from subsidy removal.

Besides Tinubu did what any other opposition would have done. He didn't put gun on Jonathan's head to stop him. Didn't the opposition oppose Tinubu's subsidy removal just as they are opposing the tax reforms. He stuck to his decision because he knows where he's going. That's the hallmark of a strong leader.

How do you expect the governors to be up and doing, when the president wants to be emperor general of the country??

He's not allowing them function well with his one party policy, so every lazy governor runs under his umbrella and they are free to do whatever they like
Very lame excuse. In all your conversations here how many times have you raised the issue of the performance of your governor?

You don't even know the size and provision of your state budget. Everything is Tinubu. That makes the governors happy. No focus on them.
