The street art here is on another level.
The open gutter policy in our country is what I have yet to grasp. Why must the gutter be open? What is there to look inside? I have been watching videos from Caribbean countries, both rich and poor, and I observed that ALL have covered walkways.

Why our own thing too dey different?

Because deploying an actual sewer requires a serious town planning shift. You will need a very very far thinking governor working with a very very far thinking of the town planning team, with successors buying into the same vision, to pull this off

Ever since Tesla opened up in Chile, their cars have become ubiquitous. Probably my next car might be a cyber beast. DrAkpa and co will cry blood when that happens.

Pretty straight forward. Get to Chile and find yourself a private hospital but mind you, the price is between $5000 to $10000 depending on your circumstances.

The lottery of birth quietly determines so much of our lives. For those born in developed countries, this reality often goes unnoticed. But in just two years as a student in Chile, I’ve experienced opportunities that would have been nearly impossible for me to access in Nigeria.

It forces an uncomfortable truth: life is deeply unequal. And when opportunity depends so heavily on geography, it raises difficult questions about fairness, privilege, and whether the world or even God treats everyone the same.

Three papers. Mine was one. Other departments had two as the minimum. Also, according to them, the journals were listed, so other journals aren't considered. I was told how some foreign students spend four years rather than the standard three years to complete their PhDs. After three years, the scholarships end, so funding falls on the student.

In summary, PhD no be small thing.
Use your publication apply for global talent visa in the uk and get ILR in 3 years

Chilean children are lucky.

My neighbor invited me over for Christmas dinner. Here in Chile, Christmas is celebrated on the 24th. Families and close friends gather for dinner and stay together until midnight. At exactly 12 a.m., the gifts are opened children first, then the adults.

I watched one of the kids unwrap a brand-new phone. He looked at his mom and said he already had one, asking why she bought him another. That moment hit me harder than I expected.

It pulled me straight back into my own childhood. We never really received gifts. On the rare occasions something came for Christmas, it was usually old, worn-out clothes from uncles returning from abroad. Poverty didn’t take breaks for holidays.

But standing there, in that moment, I realized how deeply circumstances shape our expectations of life. What feels ordinary to some is unimaginable to others.

Merry Christmas from Chile to everyone still fighting, still pushing, still trying to break free from poverty. May God strengthen your resolve and fortify your spirit. Keep going.

Compliments bro. Your childhood experience is the reason you can appreciate your current experience.

Na wa o, your reality is different from many other children in Nigeria whom were spoilt with gifts. Don't use your terrible childhood to generalise the reality of other Children in Nigeria.
You really suffered as a child, probably you are being punished for your life decisions in your previous life, that's if you believe in reincarnation.
Anyways, my son, merry Xmas and happy new year. Hope you would change in the incoming new year

Girlfriend called me today and she was so excited. She asked if I have seen the news and I said no she said that Maduro has finally been captured by the USA and at last Venezuela will finally be free. A lot of Venezuelans are so happy with the US invasion. Most people don’t know but Venezuela used to be the richest country in South America until Chavez and socialism took over the country and sent the country on a downward spiral. A lot of Venezuelans still miss their country and wish to return home. Street today is full of Venezuelans in chile celebrating Maduros capture. The USA has won again.

In the 70s and 80s , Venezuelan where among the richest tourists a country could pray to attract . They would even outspend US tourists then . Government regulated capitalism is still the best , see what communism did to that country mahn.

US crippled their economy through sanctions because they nationalized their oil and resources. This is a very serious issue

Bros Venezuelans all over Chile are celebrating. Today is a day Venezuelans will never forget. These people did everything. They protested he will kill them they tried to vote him out he refused to respect the elections. He didn’t win the elections in 2024. They asked for help from their brothers. They asked for help from Chile, Argentina, Brazil. For where. Trump will forever be remembered as a hero in venezuelas history books.

Communism crippled Venezuelas economy and not US sanctions. If Venezuela has remained a free market economy just as it was in the 80s. It would have been as rich as Singapore especially with how hardworking and intelligent Venezuelan people are.

You are sounding like an American politician. What was the reason for the sanctions? Go against the US and find out the hard way. Why did the US toppled an elected government in Chile too?

Chile is better for it. If the USA didn’t intervene in Chile in 1973, chile would have fallen to communism. The USA installed Augustine pinochet and the Chicago boys rebuilt and liberated Chiles economy. Chile is rich and developed in the region thanks to intervention of the US. The US also invaded Panama and Panama is also one of the richest countries in Central America. I hate communism as much as I hate poverty.
