Atiku go still lose next year. E sure me die.

Atiku is a Fulani but he's politically shortsighted like the average igbo politician. May be it's because he's friends with them.

In 2015, instead of Atiku to queue behind Goodluck and support his reelection with an agreement that Goodluck will support him when he finishes his tenure, naive Atiku allowed Tinubu used his dumb head to go form APC, not knowing that Tinubu and Buhari already had an agreement.

In 2023, instead of Atiku to do everything possible to have Obi on his side, again, he allowed the useless man to split votes and allowed Tinubu easy access to the presidential villa

Obi, on the other hand, instead of him to maintain his position as a running mate to Atiku and build his network if he gets to Aso Rock, he foolishly allowed the social media hype get to him. Both men lost, even though their votes combined could have been enough to make them win.

All of a sudden, the two shortsighted folks now want to work together to defeat a sitting president, something they know is nearly impossible, especially because of how desperate the person they are up against is

If igbos don't rule Nigeria in the next 30 years, blame it on Obi. He's too shortsighted politically, same as Atiku.

And that is where Tinubu has an edge over them. He carefully calculates his move before he makes them, unlike Atiku and Obi that just jump at anything out of desperation for power.

If you think it is state capture or number of defected governors that will determine winner in forthcoming presidential election then you are deficit of knowledge in the current trend of politics.APC should go to Nigerian streets sampling opinions of eligible voters to see their wanning popularity in real time.It is high time Emilokan toned down on his harsh economy policies and focus on people-oriented programmes and policies before it is too late for him.

Thw difference being that PDP won all their states then at the polls while the APC bullied many of the governors into joining them.

It's hard to fault the core points of your analysis. It's hard. Tinubu understands and plays the long game. The others are still learning work and are no match for him. It's like matching a professor against primary school kids.

In the 2007 governorship elections the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) dominated, winning the majority of states — around 28 to over 30 states depending on how the results and court decisions were counted, while opposition parties like the ANPP and Action Congress/ACN held a few states and smaller parties controlled 1 or 2. PDP was clearly the biggest party then.

Re: Number Of States Controlled By Parties: 2007 Vs 2026 by Mankind2024: 2:54pm On Jan 03
Atiku is the destroyer of the PDP due to his desperation for power.
The same applies to Obi, the Pandora figure, who—out of desperation for power—jumped from APGA to PDP, then to the Labour Party, and now to ADC. He is headed for political oblivion after the 2027 elections.

UTILITYMAY:
The leadership of these opposition parties are so clueless. Even if it is true APC/Tinubu is the one infiltrating their parties, it shows how incompetent they are to allow such to happen. Any party who has failed to hold their party affairs, has no business in ruling or leading Nigeria.

Very true..
It will always be almost and will not win...if the opposition doesn't get every strong backing.

The missing link is some Governors..atleast 8 States..together with the organic followers.

Anyone thinking anyone can win a Presidential elections in Nigeria, without some Governors controlling some states (Note , not all), is delusional

True, Atiku is not strategic enough. But it's not that easy.

Obi left PDP because Wike thought he would get the VP ticket. Obi knew with Wike lobbying so hard, with so much money, Obi left.

Fact is Atiku is not politically savvy enough.
