You are right. They always play on the intelligence of the international community. They will always justify reasons for whatever actions they take. Whereas it has always been about resource control.
What I just feel is that this recent developments spell a wrong precedent for the international system. I am actually waiting to see what the US will do when China finally goes ahead with it's unification plans with Taiwan. The developments will be very interesting.

When the US are through with them they will apologize to the venezuelan people

The cost of extracting oil in venezuela is higher than the current oil price,it simply not profitable.Otherwise venezuela should be awash with petrol dollar just like Saudi Arabia.
