I saw this on Twitter and even though it’s about a food delivery company, it could very well relate to our Ehailing companies.
It’s crazy how this companies use their algorithms to essentially use their employees like cattle.
The “Desperation score” actually caught my attention. They basically exploit desperate drivers while they offer passive drivers juicy trips in other to rein them in. Chai!

Indrive response to the increased commission and Tax query
Does it mean drivers wont be taxed by the government again? It's just like how employers remove tax from employees salary

As far say na you get the car, you are good to go.

Does it mean indrive's new charge is now 12.3%?

If that's the case, they're still fair.
Yeah, somehow still fair.
But the root of the push in their commission is the Nigerian government which many people won't appreciate.
It's still fair - it's still fair, na so e go dey climb up small small till it gets to 20%. angry
If Nigerian government no come up with their yéyé tax, indrive will still keep their commission below 11%.
The implication of the recent increase is that they will still push it up more. It's not even about the 12.3%, cos it's not really much and "indrive may still not increase their base fare with significant %".
Na my issue gangan be that.

Much respect, boss.

give a a try put 5 litres and drive to know the exact KM the compare with Bolt price to see if it profitable.
Example if 5 litres =4k and give you 40km
Bolt is paying 700 naira per KM = 28k
Gross profit= 24k
But try and be smart ensure destination has possiblity of return passenger

If the Rav4 belongs to you. You're good to go, there's no need getting another car. Keep or invest your 5m in something else.

I just feel the fuel consumption may be more.
Same engine with big daddy but different load.

You can try it out, if it works fine.

If you want to buy another car and you don't want Corolla, go for civic

Does that mean after indrive and bolt charges WHT directly on behalf of government, will government still tax PIT from money that goes into our accounts?

They are criminals. U will still pay tax on ur gains or profits. They are covering for themselves and using the opportunity to steal even more. Except they will increase the fare by that 9%

Please you are more than welcome to use that fantastic SUV for the hustle. My friend uses one tho the 09 model. It has same consumption with muscle evil spirit. As long as it's your own ride. Just be gentle with it. Don't abuse d car by matching d throttle forcefully. If the catalytic converter is functional the better!!

Invest your 5m in another business cool

Godspeed

Honestly they r criminals. They ought to pay tax from their commission indrive 9.99% and bolt 25 abi ,35% but no dey r charging separately for tax so it doesn't affect them and I'm sure dey won't still increase base fare oooo.. kiaaa
