⚡Donald Trump has said that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro tried to make a break for it and get into a safe space before being captured. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:You said it all. If Russia and China especially China cannot project a military power outside their region and sphere of influence, then, they are useless. Look at how Us is fighting Russia using Ukraine on their region. Yet, Russia and China couldn't do the same to Venezuela. They fail Venezuela. If China fails to reunify with Taiwan this year either by diplomacy or by war, it means China is a weak nation. The same with Russia that is still struggling with Ukraine for the past 4 years. |

Now that Maduro is gone, there's no more excuse to attack Venezuela. Venezuelans are now free. Abi no be so? |

⚡Trump on Maduro’s capture: It was an assault like people have not seen since World War II. It was a force directed against a heavily fortified military fortress in the heart of Caracas, to bring outlaw dictator Nicolás Maduro to justice.

⚡Trump: These highly trained warriors, operating in collaboration with U.S. law enforcement, caught them in a very ready position. They were waiting for us. They knew we had many ships out at sea, just sort of waiting. They knew we were coming. They were completely overwhelmed—very quickly incapacitated. |

Alamkiir:The Taliban government is still in power after 20 Years of war. The Maduro government is still in control after Maduro was kidnapped. It’s the same outcome in both situations but one happened in a day while the other took 20 years. Hopefully Trump and his 🤡🤡 will move on and declare victory. It’s unfortunate but in my opinion Maduro took one for the team and this is better than millions dying in a war. |

⚡Trump: Maduro and his wife will soon face the full might of American justice and stand trial on American soil. Right now, they’re on a ship and will ultimately be taken to New York. After that, a decision will be made—presumably between New York and Miami, or Florida.

23jerryking:Even a lone soldier could take one of them out if the right circumstances are in place. The military heads simply chose not to fight eother due to fear or treachery. We've seen this in Syria and Afghanistan. |

i want to believe the main the reason the military didn't shoot down the Helicopters was because of the civilians on the ground, if not they are the most useless military in the world or they were in cooperation with the US. even their airbase and military bases were targeted without the air defenses activated. This shows they were not even surveying the US Ships 24/7. if not how can they reach their target easily ![]() |

⚡Trump: The American armada remains in position, and the United States retains all military options until U.S. demands are fully met and satisfied. All political and military figures in Venezuela should understand this: what happened to Maduro can happen to them, and it will happen to them if they are not fair—even to their own people.

⚡Trump says U.S. oil companies will go into Venezuela "spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country." |

⚡Hegseth: America can project our will anywhere, anytime. Maduro had his chance, just like Iran had their chance, until they didn’t. He f’d around and he found out.

Gbadebo19:Lol the only group heading down the road to perdition are you and your ilks as the USA can never do any wrong when it comes to you. Don't worry we will add Venezuela to the list of countries that democracy was brought to by the USA like Libya. They should continue. It only proved one point we have always been right about the USA. We have finally been vindicated. The joke is on you and your democracy loving masters 😁😁😁 |

⚡Trump: Under the now-deposed dictator Maduro, Venezuela increasingly hosted foreign adversaries in our region and acquired menacing offensive weapons that could threaten U.S. interests and lives. They used those weapons last night.

⚡Trump: We’re going to have our very large United States oil companies—the biggest anywhere in the world—go in and spend billions of dollars to fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country. We’re ready to stage a second and much larger attack if needed. |
| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by WriteerNg: 6:21pm On Jan 03 |
⚡Trump says U.S. is going to run Venezuela. We’re going to run the country until such time as we can have a safe, proper, and judicious transition. We don’t want to be involved in having somebody else step in and end up with the same situation. |

LordAdam16:Trump has fully fallen for the trap. Really pathetic. He just opened a Pandora box that will forever smear his political career. |

⚡General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: This operation, known as Operation Absolute Resolve, was discreet, precise, and conducted during the darkest hours of January 2nd. It was the culmination of months of planning and rehearsal—an operation that, frankly, only the United States military could undertake.

⚡General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: After months of work by our intelligence teammates to locate Maduro and understand his movements—where he lived, where he traveled, what he ate, what he wore, even his pets—in early December our force was set, pending a series of aligned events. Key to the mission was choosing the right day to minimize the potential for civilian harm, maximize the element of surprise, and minimize risk to the indicted individuals so they could be brought to justice. As the president said earlier today, weather in Venezuela is always a factor this time of year. Over the weeks through Christmas and New Year’s, the men and women of the United States military remained ready, patiently waiting for the right conditions and for the president to order us into action. Last night, the weather broke just enough, clearing a path that only the most skilled aviators in the world could navigate—through ocean crossings, mountains, and low cloud ceilings. |

⚡General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: At 10:46 p.m. Eastern time, the president ordered the United States military to move forward. He told us, ‘Good luck and Godspeed,’ and those words were transmitted across the entire joint force. Over the course of the night, aircraft launched from 20 different bases on land and at sea across the Western Hemisphere. In total, more than 150 aircraft—including bombers, fighters, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms, and rotary-wing aircraft—were in the air last night. |

⚡General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: Our interagency work began months ago and built on decades of experience integrating complex air, ground, space, and maritime operations. Over the past two decades, our special operations forces have honed these skills. This mission required every component of our joint force—soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and guardians—working in unison with our intelligence community and law enforcement partners in an unprecedented operation. |
