A big shoutout to Timber. Currently the best RB in the world. Watching him today got me so so so emotional. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:19pm On Jan 03 |
mostob:Timber is the best RB in the league for sure. He puts in his back to every match, he's hardly had a bad game this season at all. Also, Rice's form has been on the ascendancy. If we should manage to win the league, I won't be surprised if Rice wins the EPL POTY |

Odegaard got the ball in the box, but somehow managed to dribble his way out of the box without attempting to score 😭 https://x.com/clockendh/status/2007519454520095081?s=46 Arteta supposed show am this clip make he see how poor he played |

Arsenal were known to be defensively resolute last season. They even called us haram football FC. So I keep wondering what's going on this season. Why are we defensively porous? Heinze ia not earning his pay. |

BlueRayDick:Yea. Declan Rice is currently our best player. He has been taking things personally this season. |

BlueRayDick:How I wish Eze has come to party. Odegaard should collect bench role. |

mostob:The guy is extraordinary. I pray we win the league to compliment his efforts. Bournemouth and Brighton are the two teams that consistently giving us problem. We still don't know how to beat them silly. |

Kudos to big Gabi. He has strong mentality. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time he has redeemed himself after a blunder. Good for him. Big shout out to Declan Rice. Baba is so massive for us, but Abeg make him take an easy with the knee sliding. 😂 Seriously, if we win league, na to push agenda for Balon D’or. Liverpool next. This is revenge season. |

iamoyindamola:He really needs to be talked to. That should have been a goal threatening opportunity. Even Eze is not covering himself in glory. To me he has not leave up to expectations bar the Tottenham game at the Emirates. |

BlueRayDick:That guy go start counter and end up pass back to Saliba while Timber or White is already ahead of him on the flanks. I dunno why Arteta is satisfied with that. Maybe it aligns with his style of control. |

iamoyindamola:Madueke still dey progress with the ball at times, just that he may either run into a maze of opposition players or show bad finished products after his run ; but he's better than Odegaard who will recycle ball back to defenders |

mostob:when we signed Gyokeres, Tata said he spoke to him about how he will cope when he doesn't score in 6 or 7 matches. That ability to still give your all and put the team first really matters. His goals will come, even if it is not this season as we expect. Every of our forwards has something different they offer to the team and i can't wait to see him florish with goals cus he really love and wanted to be part of this team. But which one be Brock lesner again. ![]() |

BlueRayDick:Eze cannot give to the team what odegaard gives to us. Eze is more of a goal scorer and always has eye on the goal, but odegaard is more of a controller. Some if not most of the passes he recircles are to hold possession and avoid losing the ball in dangerous situations. Against Bournemouth, we tried to play through the left, but they kept blocking the spaces. We can't take away his brilliance when it matters. That pass to Saka and the assist for Rice are sone of his brilliance that Eze might not be able to see. For Rice, he had the option of shooting to seeing Rice shout out to him, he knew Rice was in better position and that's where his vision is applauded by me. After having set the ball for a shot, most players would definitely take it without thinking twice. And that overhead loops he has been giving is actually line breaking too. 3 or 4 times he has given such passes opened the box but the players at the end of it didn't utilise it well. He's a kind of player that even if he is having a bad game can still create a magical moment with his passes. I don't think there is anyone who can bench him in our squad. |

Our record with Gyökeres starting is: 17 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. When Gyökeres was injured, we drew with Sunderland, Chelsea and lost to Villa. While he’s been underwhelming and can do much better, he still does a lot for the team. Until Kai is back, he must lead the line. #Arsenal |

germaphobe:Bro... I have criticized him severally concerning his goalscoring on this thread but I can't deny he has been given his all. One crazy thing is we tend to concede anytime he is subbed off. At the same time I understand how goals will help his confidence. Hopefully, he start banging the goals cos that Norwegian viking is practically dragging those 115ers to the title. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 1:43pm On Jan 04 |
germaphobe:Sorry, I disagree. Eze can pass too. Just look at his assists against City and Bayern. I agree they're different players. I can remember arguing with Jodera here that compared to City, Odegaard is like Benardo and that we need a 'KDB' too. Even the pass mentioned here, Odegaard is fumbling. Eze can give some of what Odegaard gives and more. The only edge Odegaard has over him is pressing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 1:52pm On Jan 04 |
mostob:you see that long passes Eze gave to Martinelli twice against the teams you mentioned, both were from our half when just recovered position and Martinelli made a run. Tell me you haven't seen odegaard make those kind of passes before??. Odegaard controls the midfield and tempo more than Eze does. Even leading to jesus goal against villa, did you see how he progressed the ball?. Odegaard is a more better passer than Eze from what I have seen in Arsenal setting. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 1:55pm On Jan 04 |
mostob:that's why i said every forward offers something different. If i can be patient with kai, why would I rush to write off Gyokeres, you get?. He will come around with the goals once he is really settled and understand how other players play. There was an up loop pass Odegaard gave him that he didn't make the run on time thereby losing the ball. If he understands that kind of moment better, he will be killing it cus the ball was placed to his right side, it was just to meet it quicker and fire a shot. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 4:11pm On Jan 04 |
germaphobe:But he doesn't try it often. That's the issue. There's this particular clip circulating online when Gyokeres ran into space several times but odegaard didn't make the pass. Eze's passes may not be as sharp but he guarantees better output. Watching Odegaard twist and turn severally while killing our counter attacks is frustrating. |

mostob:So you believe one of the promoted teams from last season would hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw with a strong performance and coming from a goal down? |
