Corruption is disease that have eaten so deeply into Nigeria systems. If the this offender has been punished for the forgery of NYSC certificate she wouldn't be here to claim false narrative. Many people are also looking at this weakend in system to think of doing the same thing now or in the future. That is why I have concluded that Nigeria future is worst than what can be imagined. If you are young and still being hopeful in Nigeria, I am sorry that hope may not come into actualization. Of course, you might be successful as an individual but the corruption in the system would hurt on a bigger scale.

It is impossible to commit a crime that does not exist. Forgery requires the intent to deceive which would be near impossible to prove based on the fact that she did not even need to forge it as the facts were in her favour.

Let us be clear on what she sued for:

She sued FG and attorney general of the federation not on forgery but on whether it was illegal to be a.minister withoutout NYSC certificate which the judge clarified that she can be a minister or a legislator without NYSC. Heck even the constitution allows you to contest as a governor only with SSCE cert.


The question is why didnt she sue NYSC for issuing her fake certificate if she insists the body issued her that. I blame the salami for not dragging her to court on forgery which is a crime before she disappeared to the UK.

The judge saying that she was not a Nigerian citizen when she graduated at 22 or returned to Nigeria after 30 years cannot be correct. She is automatically Nigerian by descent based on her parents. Did she ever have to apply for Nigerian citizenship? Applying for passport is not same as applying for citizenship. Only citizens can apply for a passport. Does it also mean that she used British passport to enter Nigeria after age 30, in which case she would have required a Nigerian visa?

Honour?? What honour? Kemi graduated at the age of 22 which makes her eligible for service whether she is foreign-trained or local. The criteria that exempts you from national service are:-
1. 30 years and above as at when you graduated.
2. Served in the Armed forces of Nigeria
3. Life-threating medical condition
Kemi obviously didnt want to serve even when she knew that she was eligible and like many many Nigerians, we always look for a "shortcut" and she procure the forged certificate which she knew was WRONG but ahe has this warped and shallow belief that NYSC doesnt keep records. See, I find it difficult to believe she wanted to cut corners when she know that constitution didn't mandate it for appointment. I believed She actually approach NYSC office for that certificate but who handles it is the problem.

You can't tell me you didn't know how things are done in Government agencies with curruption everywhere. Tell me. A lot of people that go to Local governments, or State ministry for papers didn't know how it was done or processed, they just pay and they collected it. Go to Ikeja Many people are doing affidavit without entering the court in person. So what happened if the affidavit later void whatever it's being used for ot discovered to be fake. Same in NIN, CCB, many cargo clearing documents etc.

Forget Many things are happening by Nigerians

Of course I know how things are done. But that doesn't excuse anyone, mistake and ignorance is not an excuse under the law.

I believe that Kemi was misled. She should apologise for not doing due diligence on NYSC rules. She didn't need the exemption certificate but was probably asked to get it. Obviously, she was given a fake one because it wasn't required but some fraudulent civil servants were making money out of the process of "helping" foreign graduates.

She was a Commissioner in Ogun State and did well. She's a woman of integrity and therefore she was a stumbling block in Min of Finance to some vultures in power. They won and looted us dry. Hopefully, they'll all pay for it one way or the other.
