BREAKING NEWS

The National Secretary of the APC, Ajibola Basiru, in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, said Fubara had the full support of the party for his re-election campaign.

“Nobody can frustrate any APC governor. Fubara, like other APC governors, is running the affairs of his state well, he added.

Congratulations in advance, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS Governor of Rivers State.
Even if he never said this, do you think thar drvnk will actually take this ticket off Fubara if Tinubu is in support of Fubara? He should keep wailing from Local Governt to local government. The best he can do is to go and sponsor one guy in another party to give Fubara a long run.

Peter Obi said publicly that he will never leave APGA, he left. He said he won’t leave LP, he’s now in ADC. He may still move to another party before the election.

Atiku left PDP in 2015 because GEJ won’t respect the zoning arrangement. He argued strongly for the sanctity of zoning. In 2033, he said he would support the microzoning of the PDP ticket to the SE if not for Wike who stood against it. Now that he’s in ADC and there is no WIke to stop him, he’s no longer supporting the microzoning of the party’s ticket to the SE. In fact, he is now completely against zoning of any kind.

So, what are you saying again about a man’s words being his bond??
That guy is el-rufai's stooge or are you just noticing this?

These people you just mentioned are they from Rivers State? Tell me, which one of them will vote in the primary?
The thing is, Fubara reached an agreement not to contest for 2nd term, although, I was not there. He ran to APC to see how he can get a 2nd term. Even the people you mentioned their names were not there when he agreed not to run for 2nd term.

I'm not supporting anybody but If we can keep to our words, half of the problems in our society today would be solved.
I am from Rivers State.
I don't care who is in agreement with who or who broke who's agreement, my own is that Wike should be relegated from politics.
That man is too selfish, arrogant, greedy and anything bad you can think of. I don't like Sim, but if his alliance with Tinubu will bring an end to Wike's political career, then he has my support.

He signed the contract agreement when he was a PDP governor and now that he is in APC, that agreement can't stand.
Exactly what many are finding difficult to comprehend. The contract barred him from seeking reelection under PDP. Someone smart enough tipped off Fubara that he could exploit a loophole in the deal by defecting to APC, and thus invalidating the portion that prevents him from seeking reelection. grin

Wike never know say day don break for this side. cheesy

What agreement are you talking about? is this agreement constitutional or documented? Is it the people of Rivers State that will decide for the governor not to go for second tenure or wike who want to continue to be in power as governor even when his tenure has expired?
If wike claims he made a mistake, the next person he will bring will show him super shege....I only blame governor Fubara who doesn't want to use his power as a governor....

I hope you know the Party National Chairman and Secretary are the ones that will sign and submit to INEC the gubernatorial flagbearers for the party.
And talking about delegates that will vote in primary, I do NOT get the magic FCT Minister wants to do, when the State Chairman and State Secretary of APC appears to be working with the Governor AND indication from Abuja is that Presidency is comfortable using the legitimate Governor to do the ground job for their own 2027 agenda.

There is no honour in Politics, the earlier we accept that the better, it is a game of interests and interests change every time. The person that midwifed that agreement for Fubara not to contest a second term, now appears to be the same person enabling him to have a go. Even the Wike also gave his word(in public) to support whoever emerged as PDP flagbearer in 2023, as soon as his interest took a hit(when he was not selected for vice), he reneged.

Why sign an agreement with Wike if you have no plans to follow through? He wasn't forced, was he? A man's words should be his bond, but obviously not Tinubu. How should Nigerians then trust him to keep to his campaign promises? Tinubu now has a reputation for leaving his allies at their most vulnerable points after getting what he wants. It's now clear that he was behind Fubura going rogue all this while. He was just pretending. He's also the one behind the crisis between Magnus Abe and Amaechi, Alia and Akume, Uba Sani and Elrufai, Abba Kabir and Kwankwaso, two emirs in Kano, etc. He engineers crisis between two parties and then attempts to benefit from both sides.
How can Wike sign an agreement on a transaction that does not belong exclusively to him? Make it make sense please

Wike publicly said, he won't become minister if Tinubu wins presidential election, did he keep the agreement?

Parties are bound by their agreement. There is nothing Fubara willingly agreed to that he can't fulfill. Just that when you're an Opobo snake, your nature will certainly be displayed. Fubara is just an unrepentant ingrate.

These are the failures who destroyed APC in Osun with their selfishness and greed last election.

We are talking about Tinubu throwing allies who have helped him under the bus without any shame and you're going to the marketplace, shopping for false equivalence. This is more telling considering that Tinubu himself has used his media propaganda machinery to continue to perpetuate himself in power over the years by painting himself as the victim of betrayals. That mask is gradually falling off. The new allies he's seeking to attract will now learn to dine with him using a very long spoon. This is what stalled the Kwankwaso movement to APC.
Stop reasoning below par, you first take was on words and bonds. Now that you have bn stripped naked, you start blabbing off point.

Ngozi Odu, Rivers deputy governor, joins APC

Ngozi Odu, deputy governor of Rivers state, has formally registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Odu registered at her ward in Akabuka town, ward 8, unit 11, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of the state.

Shortly after completing the registration process, the deputy governor sang “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand”, a song popularly associated with President Bola Tinubu.

Her defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) comes weeks after Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers state, also joined the APC following a meeting with Tinubu at the presidential villa.

Wike is not in a position to determine who Apc gives ticket to , wike is not a card carrying member of the apc , the governor is a card carrying member, the apc did not dictate to pdp or any other party who they should field , so wike cant tell apc what to do , apc is not pdp or th3 other useless parties who cant kee0 their house in order , apc is very strict and if wike decides to misbehave he will learn the hard way.

APC has 30 states , so where will they be needed even if the opposition takes rivers, his support be not be deemed necessary. The poor guy no want die politically eeeeyahhh

Victor Giadom took this kingarten politically attitude to the APC during Buhari,he was taught professional politics, his pivotal role in ousting Adams Oshiomole as the national chairman thinking that he will take over culminated in the emergence of caretaker committee,he is always clever by half,a lump sum political slavery and a unthoughtful outburst,Rivers state indeed, oil money and political impacts of recklessness
