President Tinubu Posts AI-Generated Image, Quickly Edits After Mistake

Earlier today, President Bola Tinubu shared an image on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption:
"This afternoon, I had a private lunch with H.E. President Paul Kagame of Rwanda to discuss the current state of world affairs and advancing Africa in an ever-changing global landscape."

Nigerians noticed that the image was Grok AI-generated, complete with a visible watermark. Realizing the error, President Tinubu quickly edited out the watermark and reposted the same image on Facebook.

This incident has sparked conversations online about authenticity, digital literacy, and the importance of maintaining trust in public communication.

Even at the highest level, mistakes with AI content can happen, but how we respond matters.

I guess the guy who posted it didn't know that most AI softwares watermark their products. These guys always show themselves for the wrong reasons.

While it's not a big deal to use AI, that account is too critical to cast doubt about the originality of its posts that AI impressions no supposed near there at all, unless na fictional images, just as Saint Trump occasionally posts too.

Chai...in an earlier post of this same fake visit, I talked about Kagame seating at the head of table and Tinubu doing baabiala, not knowing the picture is even fake. Fake certificate, fake election victory, fake ministers, fake tax law, fake president. Disgraced country of particular concern whose fake president will soon be removed by Trump. He who grabs and run with the people's mandate must be caught and the mandate retrieved.

Using an AI generated image to accompany an official post is wrong, this is not a matter of you like him or not

AI is been known for generated mostly images that never occured, so how do we believe the president actually met the man when he's using a fake image of them?

A fraudulent man like Tinubu can never change. Everything about him is always pathetically fake.

I am waiting to see the press release, if any, from Kagame. It is such a shame that this Presidency cannot be trusted. I told people that the Tax Act was not the problem, it was the level of distrust between the leaders and the led. After all, Buhari passed the Finance Bill in 2023.

As at today, I have not seen Kagame posting any picture of him in France. His last post was 4 days ago and the same message is on IG/FB. Let's assume this is true, what is so special about meeting Kagame in another man's country? The reputation of Nigeria has never been this soiled and it's a sad day for the great country. The Presidency belongs to the people of Nigeria, it's not an institution to joke with regardless of whoever is there. Respect the country.
