The Obidient Movement has insisted that it will only support Peter Obi to emerge as the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate.

The movement stated that it won’t support Obi as a Vice presidential candidate to anybody.

It made the clarification in reaction to reports credited to its National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko that it will stay in ADC even if Obi loses the party’s presidential ticket.

However, in another statement by Tanko, he described the report as “deliberate misrepresentations and malicious propaganda.”

According to the statement: “Without equivocation, the ideals, energy, and collective resolve of the Obidient Movement are unequivocally committed to the presidential aspiration of Mr Peter Obi. The Movement can join any political party of its choice that aligned with the person, principles, and leadership vision of Mr Peter Obi.

"Let it be stated clearly and without ambiguity: The Obidient Movement is not mobilised to support Mr Peter Obi as a vice-presidential candidate to anyone. Our support is exclusively for his emergence as President of Nigeria.

“At present, we are supporting him within the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the contest for its presidential candidacy. Should the process be transparent, credible, and fair, the Obidient Movement will abide by its outcome.

" However, should the process be compromised, the Movement will take a united, lawful, and democratic decision consistent with its core principles.”

Is he also strong within the political circle? I mean can he win in any presidential primary? Is he influential amongnst the delegates that will vote in the primary?

All the reports on the last election clearly showed that there were more rigging in the SE than any other parts of Nigeria.

That will not be tolerated in 2027. Any one trying to rig for the Agulu cult leader better be ready to end up in sokoto prison.

The plan is to use Obi to destroy any chance the ADC has at winning. His presence at ADC will destabilize every supporter they've gathered of he loses at the primaries. And if that ever happens, it'll confirm my suspicions that he works for the great and crafty Jagaban.

And I believe Atiku won't back down, he'll fight tooth and nail to win the ticket. Something wey e go still fail to win again. Jagaban would beat him easily.
