Soldiers are not trained to handle public insults , anger and disobedience. It doesn't matter if feel the soldier committed an offence, you should resist confronting an armed soldier in a hostile or angry manner.

The military have their military police that police soldiers that commit crimes.

Are you out of your mind? Where did you read that the 13year old bullied or tried to bully a full grown adult soldier wielding an assault rifle? Do you even know the meaning of the word 'bully?' Confronting a person whether military or civilian who abused or harassed your family member has never been a crime or even out of place especially when it is done unpremeditatedly. It is a natural human reaction for which a kid was shot dead. His sister that was harassed is also an underaged making the case worse for the animal in military fatigue.
The soldier deserves to be relieved of his job and given a death sentence. He isn't fit to live again because he's a danger to the society. No civilian needs to die again by his hands before it is confirmed that he's a lunatic.
If you try to make excuses for the lunatic in uniform again, may the fate the young man be your portion. Standing up for a harassed family member is an honourable thing to do which should be praised. We won't want to have weak men in our society. The boy is a hero and will be remembered. The soldier is a pedophile and a cold blooded murderer who deserves to be hanged.

Nigerian women armed with nothing but their voices protested against the british and that's part of the reason why you don't have britons ruling your country today (or at least, not ruling it officially).
