Perhaps you're the one clueless, because Vat of 7.5% is charged on fixed assets and other products and services in Nigeria since last year. Go and do your research and revert.

Can you compare UK way of doing things to Nigeria?

That's what you should think about before our back and forth.

You’re capping nonsense. Is VAT a new tax? If she had made the same purchases last year, would she not have paid the exact same amount as VAT? So, why will any manufacturer increase price in January over a VAT law that has been in effect since the 90’s?

Again, are you aware that with effect from 1st of January, 2026, Company Income Tax has reduced from 30% to 25%? So, will manufacturers whose CIT has been reduced force any price increment on their customers? Does that make any sense? Are you even aware that companies with an annual turnover of < 100m are now fully exempt from CIT? So, why will such companies push any increment to customers?
You are the one capping thrash due to tribalism. Didn't you hear of the controversy of 12 % sneaked into the criminal tax laws as VAT instead of 7.5?

Hell is empty cos all the devils and their agents are in Nigeria

Just listen to yourself!

If she has been paying this high VAT, why is she now crying out loudly?

Some people just support evil because it's done by their people.
Oga you are the one capping trash. VAT 7.5% has been in existence for a while. She is just being sensational. Influencers are using every means to discredit the tax law. But she should really wait. The tax authority will wait for her until she gets x's money, and they will know whether the new tax affects her or not.

U need a mental evaluation...since subsidy removal what has the people benefited..from 2023 of Tinubu how has Nigerian being..economically .. security...health sector...very soon Ur life will be as the way Tinubu is ruling Nigeria
Exousiang01:
Do you live in a cave?

Have you not been hearing governors, senators and house of rep members brag about the hug amount of money they now receive for allocations?
Should the FG go to each state to oversee what the governors do with the money given to them?

Subsidy was removed and the money is now pushed to governors to use to develop the states....
You definitely have granite in your head

Money has been pumped to the governor, if your brain is working you would be asking your governors who are receiving the money not Tinubu who has given them the money.

Many of you Nigerians don't can't even think....

Governors are making noise about huge money received but Tinubu is your problem not your governors who have collected the money.....
The legislature have also received more money than ever have questioned your senators and house of Rep members?

Continue waiting for Tinubu to come down to your state to do what your state governor has received money to do...
Na granite dey your head

Taxing people very high doesn't lead to economic prosperity. If this fellow knew he would be taxed as.much he would charge more than he did. This will create a relay effect as well on other factors of production as well. If you don't produce you can never tax your people to gain rich.
Come to UK and tell them that you know better.
I make £3,500and pay over ~£800 tax +NI
