Under what Nigerian law do you banished a man from the village? This is the same Anambra the self acclaimed most educated state in Nigeria.

Very bad indeed. He doesn't have a wife?
This man is not strong enough to rape anybody now. I suspect the woman surrendered to him but lied she was raped when the deed was exposed.

I have seen and read about Igbos banished people that committed atrocities and have seen Igbos burn houses belongings to ritualists and kidnapers here on nairaland

I don't know why other tribes can't copy this.
And that is right to you under the law? You are supporting very backward people with backward ways of life.

Same thing some pastors are doing without remorse. Christians should be ashamed of those pastors.
It seems unbelievers are more honourable

Accusation of rape has always been one of the most lethal weapons women level against hapless men right from biblical times.

Rape often involves the application of brute force on a helpless female without her consent.

From the video clip, the accused is looking frail and rickety and seemingly incapable of carrying out such a rigorous exercise

This old man may be a victim of false allegation.

After God, fear women!

There are so many parts of Nigeria that are not governed by Nigerian laws
That's why I believe that Nigeria does not exist as a nation in its true sense but more like a contraption

First of all, I DON'T trust married women.

That man looks BRITTLE.
All you need to do to INCAPACITATE him is blow a little BREEZE in his direction.

Secondly, if he truly RAPED someone.
He should be in JAIL.

NOT banished.
Leave the kids up there talking nun sense.

I don't trust women with accusations.

The old man may have caught her at something wrong and discrediting his person with false accusation might be her next step.

Is it about wickedness or the failure of the Nigerian state to fully govern and enforce its laws within its territory
And what does poverty have to do with this for Kobo's sake

In the same Anambra that is like Paris? What happened to Nigeria Police station there?

So where did they want him to go ? Another village? Town? State ? to continue from where he stopped?
What has Police Station got to do with purely customary issues?

When you used Oro and other fetish dieties to disturb voters in 2023 in Lagos, wasn't there any Police Station to handle related issues?

Hypocrites!

It is pure wickedness because everyone in Nigeria knows that even with the system as ridiculous as it is, rapists do go to jail if their crimes are reported to the authorities and maybe even the women affairs office. 🥱🥱

2. Those who did this.. suggested he be banished instead... likely did it to keep their uncle or father out of jail. 🥱🥱

And how do you know that everyone in Nigeria knows that rapists go to jail

How did you know that those who suggested banishment are members of the man's family and they did so to keep him out of jail

You mean there are areas in that country where people have never experienced or have knowledge of existence of criminal laws in Nigeria? 😮😮😮😮

2. I don't know....I suppose..hence the use of the word likely suggesting a possible motive. 🥱🥱

Please, endeavor to invest in language comprehension courses this year. 🥱🥱🥱
