You mean there are areas in that country where people have never experienced or have knowledge of existence of criminal laws in Nigeria? 😮😮😮😮

2. I don't know....I suppose..hence the use of the word likely suggesting a possible motive. 🥱🥱

Please, endeavor to invest in language comprehension courses this year. 🥱🥱🥱
It will amaze you. While you claim that rape laws of Nigeria prescribed jail, Sharia law in the north prescribes flogging not jail

You shouldn't make side comments when you're totally ignorant. Instead, you should seek information and get properly enlightened. Umuada is a gathering of firstborn women and mothers in Igbo communities whose duty is to preserve culture and tradition and not to protect uncles and grannies. You clearly see that it was umuada that banished him not his family members.
Take your own advice about investing in language comprehension so you don't keep missing simple info and making wild guesses.

Check very well, they may be after the man's piece of land and this to them, is the only justifiable means to an end.
Re: Elderly Anambra Man Banished From His Village For Raping A Married Woman by Dtruthspeaker: 3:38pm On Jan 06
Is it rape or wanted to rape? Because what kind of married woman can be raped by him?

Or is the married woman as 13yr old girl?

Nobody will blame his religion but if it was in the North, boom the hypocrites will blame his religion. Very sentimental sets of people

My first question is this
How can a man looking this old have the strength to rape you, not that I am trying to justify what he did but the story doesn't just add up.

I just feel sorry for the poor man
You know unwelcome touch in private areas is considered rape and land you in prison right? What if he grabbed the woman when she wasn’t expecting him to? Even if it’s once. Not all rapes are forceful. Sometimes a woman may not even resist(either due to fear of a lot of reasons) , she may even respond physiologically from your touch, but still not consent or welcome the sex and can rightfully accuse you of rape right ?

In other words, not all rapes involve the use of physical force

Have you seen the victim? If for some reason this man was accused of raping your wife/mother would you dismiss the claim for the same reason? It is guys like you that such old and weak looking gate men be banging the hell out of your wive/mother while you not at home.

"Never judge a book by its cover." ... especially with regards to man and sex. ... the size of his penis...and ability to have or maintain erection.

I watched the video on tiktok, he wasnt accused of rape, rather he was accused of sending his daughter in law away because she didn't give birth to a male child despite pleas and threat from the umuada in the village, the man is a tenant in that village and not indigenous to the village
Re: Elderly Anambra Man Banished From His Village For Raping A Married Woman by lezz(m):
The South East has a very archaic culture and very unorganised.

First looking at the man's age, I'm very worried how he raped a married woman and where.

Secondly the writer didn't disclose how he did it and under what circumstances

Thirdly Igbos disinherit women from acquiring landed properties of their fathers except willed but these women can banish anyone and also stop burials that doesn't carter to their needs.

Fourthly, rape carries life imprisonment and I'm wondering why they didn't follow due process and chose banishment

Fifthly, in Igbo land accusing someone maliciously after room temperature, dusty crates of beers have been passed round either through umunna or umuada and summarily banishing anyone they target is also very common.

Lasty it is unlawful as no one ,not even the Igwe can banish anyone from his ancestral land.

The man will win in court hugely.

If is also claim people's children with the wicked pretext of not paying bride price even if you finished traditional marriage rites half way and train the kids till adulthood.

Tradition or wickedness

Not enough...He should be cooling in jail

People don't know how allegations work or are confirmed in a cultural societies.

If the man is a good man with upright life, people won't accept the allegations. For this to happen in the village, his cup must have been full.

I’m very sure they both agree to do the do, but the man might not fulfill his promise to the woman and she change it as a rape case. I feel for the poor man.

Banished to go and continue raping more women in any communities he settles in.....
Namaster:
First of all, I DON'T trust married women.

That man looks BRITTLE.
All you need to do to INCAPACITATE him is blow a little BREEZE in his direction.

Secondly, if he truly RAPED someone.
He should be in JAIL.

NOT banished.

Very bad indeed. He doesn't have a wife?
Mini Sharia criminal justice system implemented in Ozubulu.
What the villagers did is illegal and unconstitutional. The relatives of the man shall go to court and stop the banishnent.
Women, see them going after the man. The socslled raped woman might have consented to the seex act but later claimed she was raped.

With all my two eyes 👀 have seen in my very short time on this earth, I can bet my left ball that woman invited him for secs and they were caught so she claimed rape.

One is living beside a friend of mine with 3 children and the husband seems to have abandoned her, there's no type of man she hasn't invited to her house including my friend but he's wiser....I see something like this may happen if they're ever caught.

This can never happen to an influential man in that society.
Laws and traditional culture are designed for the less privilege
That means u don't even know the igbo society recently in my community in imo a rich influential man and his son was caught sleeping with his own daughter youths in the community burnt down his mansion and banished him together with his daughter and son. It was later discovered that the man was into occultic money rituals.

What did Igbos do to those who were behind Ozubulu killings?
Lol I saw what you did there. To answer your question, they literally gave the guy (bishop ozubulu) a chieftaincy title

Rape is bad but why burn down his house? Where the daughter go live? Like… you get? Think. Use the police, banish him but no need for jungle justice

Your way of thinking about this makes you what is called A Rape Apologist.

You ignore the victim and sympathize with the rapist. Something people who have same traits do

I pray you won’t be framed up by one Delilah before you understand their gimmick.

I’m not in support of any form of rape. But women can set you up.
