Good evening amazing people, please I need help with finding out what’s wrong with my car. I drive a Honda accord 2008 v6 car. It started to misbehaving last week, after spending some time in traffic, it went off and when I restarted it, it was moving slow, no matter how hard I stepped on the gas. It took me home that day but slowly.

I then called the mechanic to come service it, we changed the engine oil and filter, changed the fuel pump and cleaned the injector mouth. Thinking that should fix it.

Took it out the following day, after driving from omole to Osborne with my AC on, it started moving slowly again, I turned off the AC immediately, it didn’t go off this time but it took me to VI slowly. When I was going back home later in the afternoon after about 5 hours of packing the car, it acted normal again till I got home, I didn’t use the AC this time.

I then decided to scan it today and these are the error codes it brought out. I decided not to fix it yet because the Rewire told me to bring 45k without telling me the actual thing he wants to fix. Could you kindly tell me what is actually happening to the car? Thank you.

Sometimes during acceleration, it loses power and enters limp mode.

A little trick once this happens - park and restart the car or put the car on neutral while you restart and then drive to drive. The system resets itself and start accelerating.

Mine is showing error code p0121 throttle position sensor/pedal position sensor.

I'll check it out tomorrow using a rewire

I drive a Honda crv 2008 and recently changed the engine and brainbox. I have been having g this P2135 code intermittently... I have cleaned the throttle body, idle relearn process... still nothing. Who has faced such issue and what's my way forward? please help.

Throttle position sensor or Accelerator position sensor is misbehaving.

Replace throttle pedal and/or throttle body.

Good day sirs. Did a 250km trip with my wife's car, a 96/97 Honda Civic and I noticed a slight drop in the engine oil level. Car has been always used for city runnings only, and has never given any issues for more than a year now. It doesn't smoke. I also now hear a rattling noise underneath the car when car is idling but stops when I rev up even a little. Car is in excellent condition and I wouldn't want naija mechs to mess it up as it has been our live saver for school runs due to its fuel economy.

Also My Honda Crosstour 2010 Suddenly started blinking engine light when was driving, if I try to accelerate the car seems to lose power and the car went off, I restarted the engine and the engine light stopped blinking & everything returned to normal, what could be wrong please.

I get your point sir. In as much as you might be driving a 2025 model, I don't think you're being fair if you look down on me. People in real life (forget online bragadao) still drive these cars in every major cities. Moreover, all fingers ain't equal. Grace can also take me to where you are, don't you think?

You completely missed his point. I also drive a relic (a 20yr old car is a relic). But that's not the point he's trying to make.
The point he's trying to make is that you can't be in Nigeria, driving an almost 30yr old car, and saying you don't want "naija mechs" to mess it up. Who else do you expect to fix the car for you? Japanese mechs? That's why he said you should fly it to Japan to be fixed. And you also forgot that the people here on nairaland that you are asking questions are also "naija mechs". So are we also going to mess up your car for you?
Point is, you should learn to express yourself well.

He has helped sorted me out twice there, so I reasoned he knows that's not what I personally drive, so shouldn't "look down on me". Apologies Oga Kingreign. Pls look into this reliable relic's issue before Kazeems send me to the cleaners.

Check that the oil strainer is not clogged, crankshaft main bearings aren't worn out excessively and also that the oil pump isnt pumping low pressure. If all these are fine, change oil and oil filter use a good quality filter and observe
