That's the warhead of one of the 12 tomahawks the US fired into Nigeria. This will make it the 4th one found so far. Out of 12 missiles fired four failed to explode? That's too high a failure rate.
That thing explodes in a fireball that covers over 50 metres. What the police are handling there is what is in blue in the image below.

We say kudos to the Nigerian Police Force and the informants cos this in the hands of terrorists is a game changer. We thank God.

Kudos to our security operatives for uncovering these hidden bombs. This is exactly what we have always needed—proactive and preventive measures to curb terrorism.

Across Nigeria, security forces regularly recover unexploded ordnances and military-grade explosives, often from scrap or farmlands, which pose huge risks to civilians if mishandled.

These men too are very careless or daft. See how they placed a bomb in such open, hard and vibrating vehicle, something that can even cause it to explode.

Nigeria police should enforce appropriate PPE for the anti- bomb officers like blast resistant vests, helmet etc. seeing that officer disarming that bomb in that kind of uniform gives me goose bumps.

Authorities must strengthen intelligence, surveillance, and community awareness to ensure such dangers are detected early and neutralized before lives are put at risk.

I might not be a professional or an expert on explosives....but i damn know that the handling with emphasis on the means of evacuation seem unprofessional...moving such ordinance in an open pickup truck with no packing or dampener in-between the truck metal base and the bomb on seemingly rough road way isn't the wisest of choices.

Meanwhile dawan is even posing with the bomb so that his superiors will see him and reward him with a long expected promotion.

Brings to mind the early days of boko haram when suicide bombing was rampant in the north east some passers-by in a town in Borno state saw some suspicious looking object placed on the side of the road and raised alarm which prompted road users to scamper away....one over zealous police officer who is now with his ancestors in their usual ill advised bravado walked upto the package in a water proof bag, grab it without caution in an attempt to open it....seconds later the police was in splinters all over the place.
