Even I don't agree with the countries listed ahead of us.

A typical South African does not speak English better than us, and are definitely not the best in Africa.

Zimbabwe is ok. Kenya is ok. But not the typical SA person.

Also, I'd rate Ghanaians slightly better than us.
Bruv Nigerians don't even enunciate words properly, I'm even surprised you're 4th, so please pipe down/..eg
I love you - i loaf you
Jesus - G Source
Husband - Ozzband
Mother - More Door
South Africa - Sort Of Free Car
Money - More Knee
Concern - Con Son
Brother - Broader
Ask Her - Oskar
No Thing - Nothing

You just need to stop this tendency of disputing any list that includes South Africa, because it makes you uncomfortable. I understand you don't wanna trail SA on anything, but it is what it is..

South Africa ranks ahead of us because of their English heritage population. Left to the blacks, they’d come twentieth or farther down. Zambia is the only country there I believe. Their pronunciations are on point. I would’ve burned houses if Ghana surpassed us. Their people only have the confidence to back their accent. We speak better English.

After all is said and done, how will these records improve our lives? It’s not like they attract foreign investors, Afrobeats does more in that regard compared to the government.
When it comes to SA, a typical Nigerian's knee-jerk reaction is to credit everything to white people. There are more Black English speakers than white ones

Have been there too. I'm not sure you know what you're saying. The average Ghanaian would rather speak twi if they had their way.

Okay let me take it from a different angle. Name 3 Ghanaian writers who are as accomplished as their Nigerian counterparts.
Its not about the writers but the people in the country. And it’s not about the written English but the spoken English. Ghana is just like SW. You hardly hear the Yorubas speaks English in Osun, Ogun or Ibadan. Does that mean they can’t speak English? No. It’s same thing with Ghana. They speak better English by far than Nigeria bro

Nigerians have a bad and very poor english vocabulary .

My ear was aching the day i was buying something at balogun . Probably one of the reasons why nigerian fail IELTS.
You can’t speak English as well. There is nothing like “my ear was aching” and “I was buying”. Those are not proper English syntax. Find how to correct yourself and come back here.

If na anambra dem call now, obi for don take credit for it. How on earth can a governor take credit for WAEC performance in a state. Parents pay heavily for the education of their wards yet one loser is claiming best governor because of children success in exams.

The black ones don’t speak it better than us. It’s a fact; the white people built the place and made it what it is. Most of the recognized areas there are majority white.

We are at 29th position in the world, number 5 in Africa. I'm surprised that the likes of Zambia and South Africa ranked better than us.

The literacy rate of South Africa is 95 % and Nigeria's is 62% .. Nothing's surprising here

It usually happens when they update a topic before it gets to the front page. Then they add more details and pictures to it. Those of us who were replying before then will see the old details. I can see they even updated the topic headline now too so that people like us can read and comprehend the positions properly wink cheesy
