That is an excuse not permissible in a world filled with politics. Wishes are way different from reality like i usually tell people on this forum.
The biggest beneficiaries of the American sanctions/fight with Venezuela is China 🇨🇳 and Russia.
Just to get money to run the country, China negotiated cheaper oil 🛢 deals way below general market prices just to circumvent US sanctions (though it's business) but what did Venezuela 🇻🇪 get in return as an ally, dilapidated and degrading oil infrastructures and facilities over time with all the technology of China 🇨🇳 .
Russia on the other hand was continously selling false security hopes and guarantees like they usually do ,selling Air defence systems and weapons that proved very ineffective when America came calling, with money that should have been used to advance the country.
And of course the mother of all the problems, CORRUPTION from the strained oil 🛢 revenues they were struggling to get.
