Actually, there is another process where a chip is installed in the petrol tank in your car and the pump nozzle. You will also use your pre-registered debit or credit card. Just buy and go , deduction is automatically made from your bank account

MarketDispatch:
How will they steal? You select how many litres you want to buy, pay first, machine will give you green light and stop at the exact amount you purchase.

With this model, Dangote will further reduce Petrol price if he removes the costs related to Petrol pump attendants. The only danger is that many households will be further thrown to more poverty due to loss of jobs when Petrol pump attendants jobs are eliminated by technology.

I am sure it will not be like UK own that you will dispense petrol first before paying.

Why I don't like the Internet analysts is because it's people who know little about a subject who are the loudest. Which one is Dangote will reduce petrol price? Does he own filling stations?

Exactly.

That's the standard In the USA for decades.
Is it also the standard in Chicago and other cities of the USA to increase tax burden on the poor without employing workers to make water available in their homes, which is the case in detty Lagos State and the remaining 35 states and FCT huh

The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”

While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.

He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’

If we are backwards in basic government services and utilities like free education for all children with well paid professional teachers, then how can we not be backward in more complex things like automated fuel pumps and contactless payments huh

That headline is embarrassingly sensational.

This is not an achievement. The downstream is regulated and the regulators determine what players will do. It's not an achievement in 2026.

I am not even sure if unmanned is the right word instead of self service. .

It's how many years since pipe borne water became operational in Europe while we are still drinking detty water from boreholes in the same compound with soak away pits and septic tanks huh

It's understandable that extreme poverty paupers with misplaced priorities will forever birth children to slave for Asians and oyinbos for further development gap between our races, not so?

Lawmaker scores Lagos Water Corporation low

A Lagos State lawmaker, Mr Saka Fafunmi, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of the state Water Corporation.

Fafunmi, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), said in Ikeja that the corporation had not been able to justify statutory allocations to it.

The lawmaker, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 at the assembly, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the corporation had the capacity to generate much fund internally through water rates but had relied solely on government funding because of poor performance.

'' Anyone that is using water will be willing to pay for it; the corporation has not been giving us water.

"Is there any new community that Water Corporation has given water? People depend on boreholes; even government estates have industrial boreholes.

"Why do we keep pumping money into an agency that does not give us the desired results?'' he asked.

He noted that the Adiyan Waterworks was located at Ifako-Ijaiye, where many of the residents had resorted to digging boreholes as a means of getting water.

''A lot of people are falling sick because they don't drink clean water.

''In the same compound, where you have sewage, is where you have a borehole.

''There is no way you can manage the sewage that it will not leak and pollute the water; everyone drinking such is drinking contaminated water,'' he said.

The lawmaker urged the corporation to increase water reticulation and supply to residents.

Nigerians will make AA Rano regret bringing this innovative initiative that has existed in advance countries to Nigeria. They will device a way to bypass the system and cheat the business.

You mean the same way Nigerians have made the first bank that introduced ATM machines as alternatives to entering the banking hall to withdraw cash to regret and shut down the machines, abi?

And you think security will not be a top priority in thise fuel stations.
That's if the security guards won't end up being the ones extorting the motorists, which then defeats the purpose. Why eliminate fuel attendants' jobs to increase security jobs?
