oalandAgents2:Money that has been ready for them since last week...the only problem was that the players wanted to be paid in dollars , not naira, which meant another round of approvals and bureaucracy. It was said in the article above. Oga, tinubu is bad, I know, but this your comment makes you no different from his data boys. |

CodeTemplarr:you said it all, the issue is needless. on the part of the players bonus row shouldn't be but since the FA can't be trusted they have to fight it out once and for all. nothing stops the players to wait till the end of the tournament then every necessary fund accrued to them be released to them but lack of transparency from ages remains the beginning of wisdom to those boys. FIFA like you said remain another problem bedevilling football in the continent of Africa. yet I blame the government that still go on finding football at expense of other sport. how on earth would you tell me I don't have a say in a venture I'm investing in heavily? FIFA is aiding football corruption in a large scale, any association or federation that get involved in financial row with players during or off tournament is meant to be sanctioned. fund coming out of FIFA is not used to develop the sport in Africa. |

ravensckar:Did you read the story? Or just the headline? It’s the request to be paid in dollars that has delayed things… |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by HeroicMeastro: 8:55am On Jan 08 |
fergie001:Needless. I think the players should focus on the forthcoming game. They can fight for their monies later. They should know that they are playing for Nigeria not NFF. |

ravensckar:How many times do we have to remind you people that these people don't get in with actual votes? How long will you people continue to deceive ya selves and speak this lie? Even with their so-called minions and supporters, you think those who are against them taking position are any smaller in numbers? Abegi, I don tire for una.. |

This is what most of us do to destroy the country. Why insist on receiving bonuses in USD and you claim to be serving your country? After missing out on the world cup qualification ticket, why should the country pay you now in USD? Allowances are paid in USD while bonuses should be paid in Naira. Infact, such bonuses should be paid in local currency and be advised to be invested in Nigeria. You are on a patriotic duty, you should maintain this across board. Even some of our foreign missions are being paid in Naira. |

Chibuzoc:When Nigerian govt officials travel abroad on their usual jamboree, are they paid their allowances and estacodes in naira or dollars? You dey mind mumu secretary who was sent on a fool's errand? |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by Kukutente23: 9:11am On Jan 08 |
Arutan:Advise them to invest in Nigeria? Are you kidding or joking? So if you have the choice to invest in Nigeria or US you'll choose Nigeria abi? |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by izombie(m): 9:18am On Jan 08 |
Chibuzoc:Must you defend everything? Na today NFF begin pay players? Caf paid nff in dollars for nff account not the central bank account. They are just looking for scape goat |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by Oghene86: 9:18am On Jan 08 |
nairalanda1:That should not be the issue at all, with their Bank details in place it wouldn't take 1 hr to get their money in their accounts, we should not be having this issues all the time, you don't hear this from European countries, if our NFF can't handle this salary or allowance issues they should resign, they pay themselves in dollars and give excuses for the players, is it CBN that is paying their dollars estacode? |

| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by izombie(m): 9:21am On Jan 08 |
michael132:see wetin you dey talk. Dollar is king for naija. They should pay the players in dollars because nff received the money in dollars |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by Saint99: 9:22am On Jan 08 |
This excuse does not add up, are they new to the system? How many of the players live in Nigeria? Didn't they know that the players would be paid in US dollars? Is CAF paying NFA in Naira? Always causing unnecessary distraction each time the team need to be focused on the next assignment. From the experience, most times this kind of thing happened, the result is always something else |

They should be paid their money in full. |

The last time we met Algeria in Afcon this row happened and we lost to them by 1-0 in the semifinal |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by Cmanforall: 10:11am On Jan 08 |
fergie001:This is another angle to look at the situation. Why are they insisting on being paid in dollar? I think these are things that weaken the Naira. This is a National Team, irrespective of where they’re based, they should be paid in Nairaland! They can convert the Nairaland to whatever currency they want , if they so desire. Are they living in the US? Why are they insisting on Dollar? Something needs to be done to stop all these going forward! |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by oalandAgents2: 10:13am On Jan 08 |
Why pay them in Naira when most of them live and work overseas? This isn't first time bonuses has been paid, vit must have been established by now that bonuses for tournaments are paid in dollars. nairalanda1: |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by MrJames007: 11:20am On Jan 08 |
So you mean these people will get 65k at the end of this tournament. Well, the ball is in their court. If they like make them play nonsense. |

oalandAgents2:Well, they are attempting to pay them in dollars though |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by nairalanda1(m): 12:50pm On Jan 08 |
Oghene86:Domicillary accounts, that's what the players wanted to be paid for, not naira accounts. |
| Re: Another Needless Super Eagles Bonus Row Threatens Algeria Tie by ravensckar(m): 2:40pm On Jan 08 |
Bosman17:It's like you just came to this country from MARS? Our leaders always tender a senseless excuse whenever they are supposed to do the right thing. The whole dollar payment talk is an absolute bunkum. Are you telling me that it has to take as much as 48-36 hours for that? If I had lived all my life in a remote village, I probably would have believed that nonsense. The truth of the matter is that there's no accountability in this country. If the players don't threaten them, till the end of the tournament, they probably won't get their money. The way and manner in which things are done in this country bellies good reasoning. You guys can keep defending the politicians and making excuses for them, but me I'll choose to call a spade a spade. #That's_All. |

I wonder why my papa stopped me from playing football as a teenager. He said I was too skinny. I was the star player on my street that time. See how these guys are collecting bonuses now. Papa you do me o! You do me o! |
