I gave up on Nigeria after my friend travelled to kenya since January
He said throughout last year till now, they only took their light 4times and it was because of an emergency fix which didn't even last upto 4hours before it was restored

Alot of Africa countries are already far far ahead of us and people still defend these criminal leaders ontop peanut and worst of It, tribalism

Finally a country that understands basic infrastructure maintenance. Maybe if we spent less time being shocked and more time not living like feral raccoons we’d have clean roads too. But no let’s just keep marveling at competence like it’s magic.
It would have been better if they do vacuum cleaning of the road using instead of all this

One village girl went to a village country (Rwanda) and filmed construction workers cleaning a road undergoing construction and idle internet users on Nairaland didn't even get the gist.

Cleaners are in full coveralls and safety headgears and the so-called cleaning truck is a police/fire service truck.

No country cleans road like this.

Maybe there's an oil spill there. No country cleans the road like someone washing his white cloths. Not even dubai

No be who tar roads go wash am?

Most part of Lagos mainland streets are not tarred, not even maintained

Yet they claim to be richer than Rwanda and South Africa combined in GDP

All roads definitely can't be cleaned like this but where needed I think there are industrial road cleaning machines.

Pointless. Sweeping the road is more than enough.
Who told you?
Stop reasoning within the box.
Sweden wash their roads often and they also do environmental fumigation to disinfect the air system.

You people think the world is like Nigeria. The world have gone far beyond Nigeria.

Even Norway never cleans it's roads like this. In the city I reside, it's just a modified truck that sweeps the sand on the major road. Most times, I can't make out the purpose of that action.

StillDtruth:
If you pay them I'm sure they'll more than wash your roads
I wonder o...

This is a result of what the leaders want for their country. The masses would always follow.

Over here, some self hating civilians believe it's the handiwork of civilians to start reforms and create governable environment.

The president is called number one citizen for a reason as he's like the root. Anything wey no go well or wey go well for a country is a result of the sitting government enabling it either consciously or non consciously, na him get the whole blame. So look around ya country or any country doing well or not doing well, the difference starts from the ruling class.

These animals, no matter how much you tell dem Dem no fit hear.

No ooo. They must wash it. They should even use bleach because they plan to eat their meals directly from the asphalt.

dont try it in Nigeria. the soap will disappear as soon as government provide it .... the water truck will go bad and after many repairs cost will be parked, the cleaners will do one mile and keep the rest for another day...!!!

The problem with Nigeria is down and not up!!

Rwanda is the cleanest city in Africa. Been there a while ago. So clean you can't see public dirt anywhere. The air is extremely fresh and clean too.

When people clamor for a cleaner Lagos, Wahab and Bayo will start convulsing. I've been to the east and the south south, and I'll choose staying there over Lagos. A dirty, smelly city.

Uyo is the only city that comes close in terms of road infrastructure and sanity. Akpabio tried in that aspect, until he went to the senate and undid all his goodwill because of his f00lishness. Oh, I heard he has a pending EFCC case too. Oh dear.
Is Rwanda a city?
I understand you mean Kigali but how about the rest of the places?

Developed countries actually wash their major city streets with disinfectants daily

It reduces smells, infections and improves esthetics

City, country. Mistake. Pardon me.

Kigali is cool. Rwanda , generally, is pristinely clean. Their ruler made sure of that.

I will pick Lagos over Kigali anytime any day..I have been to Kigali more three times so I know what am saying, yes very neat city right from airport to the city but Lagos,oh ask your brothers who are always entering Lagos daily to choose between Lagos and Kigali cuz you're always here knocking down Lagos as if you're a foreigner just cuz of petty politics

Your first paragraph is a vivid description of most Nigerians on social media. You couldn't have said it better.

I also wonder what the bush meat will film when she gets to Europe.

Oga, stop talking nonsense! Rwanda is a small country. The kilometres of roads in that country will not even be up to that in Anambra state! Try thinking of the logistics needed to wash from lagos to Enugu.
