The glasses is meant to improve vision but some Nigerians prefer placing it over their nose

They are not completely blind without it. Most are reading glasses. If you’re not actively reading, why fully wear it?

Not all, some people can't pick out objects and people without it. Depends on your type of eye defect.

They have problems with reading only. Why do I need to look through the glasses to see you, if I can see you clearly with my halogen.

I had this question until I got my glasses. It actually gets funningly comfortable when I drag it out. But, I try not to get used to it.

When you don't fully trust your glasses for perfect vision

Because they are reading glasses and u only wear it completely when u are reading

You must learn about the most
common vision defects to understand
why they put it so.

Common eye defects are

1) Shortsightedness :
As the name implies, the people with this
type of defects are only able to see
clearly, anything within short distance from
their eyes. They can read books and
Bibles without using glasses, but can't
see, in focus, anything far from them, like
TV shows or writings on a blackboard in
a classroom, for which they have to
have their spectacles 👓 on.

2) Long sightedness.
Pipul with this defect can see things far from
their eyes, by can't see anything close to
them, like writing etc. Therefore they need
it to read, but look over the classes if they
must see far. Such people can successfully go watch a football match in the stadium and
even read the names of the player Jerseys ,
but give them food menu to read and they must put on the glasses.

A shortsighted person can't watch a soccer match without glasses. Everything will be blurred & out of focus.

I am a Geology graduate of FUTMINNA, recently completed and awaiting NYSC mobilization. I am seeking recommendations for good PPAs where I can gain relevant professional experience as a Geologist. I would also appreciate advice or assistance on securing a PPA request letter before camp.

Most are just reading Glasses.

If you use one, wearing one fully will make far off objects blurry.

It depends on the kind of vision the person has against what he is trying to see.

Some need the glasses to see something very close such as reading a book. And if they need to see something far and don't want to remove the glasses from the face, they just tilt it down below the eyes since the ordinary eyes can see something farther better.

What would you have them do? To place it on the head? It's just for quick comfort and convenience.
