WILL VENEZEULA HAPPEN IN NIGERIA IN 2027?
This question is drawn out of share similarities Nigeria have with Venezuela and the recent happenings that saw the outering and capturing of Nicholas Maduro the former president of Venezuela.

On December 3rd 2026, The US force carried out a military operation in Venezuela that resulted to the deaths of more than 80 Venezuela military personnel and the capturing of a sitting president.

This act by the US government send a shocking wave in the international communities who expressed their displeasures but also received applauds from Venezuela both home and abroad.

Although it was evident the US carried out this operation for their interest and their interest alone, Venezuelans saw it as an operation to liberate the people of Venezuela, many have fled the country a situation own only to the failure of Maduro political ideology which is centered on socialism.

Maduro was known for the mismanagement of public funds, corruption, hyperinflation, insecurity, oppression and abuse of human rights. Under Maduro more than 1/3 of the population fled the country, this is the largest refuge crisis in modern time.

The Interests of the US were not hidden this time but echoed by Donald Trump who is very intentional in his approach and also know as a conservative nationalist, a believer of MAGA.

Would similar situation happen in Nigeria considering the facts that Nigeria is experience times 10 of the horrendous situation in Venezuela? And also the constant call by the US govt for the Nigeria govt to do something about the insecurity situation in the country would it lead to Nigeria experience Venezuela in 2027?

Why 2027?

The 2024 election in Venezuela was marred with election malpractices, arrest of oppositions and deaths and many from election observers around the world concluded based on findings that Maduro did not win the 2024 presidential election. In 2027 Nigeria will hold her gubernatorial election, will the pre and post election events trigger the US to overthrown the Nigeria govt?
