Deicide:This is not true. Those engineers are being paid. No one offers s free thing. MTN is uping their games on this. These and many other things we discussed last year December meeting. |

I just want people to beware of engineers who demand a fee before showing up at your apartment. Even if you are going to tip at all, make sure it's after a job well done. Cos this dude below just took money from myself and a neighbour who wanted to get our individual installations, and he never showed up. He even said we should do our worst. I only requested that his account be blocked sha. Here are his names and numbers Ijaduola Ayobami Bamidele 0814 800 5673 0706 323 7876 0802 103 0955

Deicide:I understand your point. I don't think, with what I now know, that I'll say he's working directly with MTN. Having read in several places that MTN outsources these things, I am now much careful about who I deal with. I only paid him the extra charges because a friend of a neighbour who is using the MTN FibreX dropped the guy’s number so we can get him to help us with the installations. Although, he didn't ask make payment for the device to him. It's just the extra fees. It's all good |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by HeavenlyBang(op): 8:23pm On Jan 09 |
DutchNegro:There are absolutely no extra fees to pay for FibreX. Anyone reading this should keep that in mind. |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by zanjorrg(m): 8:43pm On Jan 09 |
Fibre X installation is free of charge. The only money you pay is subscription which you have to pay before engineers coming to your house for installation. You are not obligated to give any engineers a dime unless you want to appreciate their work. They get pay for their services. |

DutchNegro:Is he the owner of all these numbers? |

DutchNegro:Have you got your FN before you guys paid him |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by DutchNegro(m): 1:52pm On Jan 10 |
zanjorrg:Yes sir. These are the numbers with which we interacted |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by DutchNegro(m): 1:57pm On Jan 10 |
zanjorrg:Not at all. He claimed the setup/configuration was going to be concluded at my place. I only believed because of the recommendation, and paid the extra charges he demanded because I just thought about NIN, Intnl Passport, Drivers License and others where they just exploit you for your needs. Lesson learnt though |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by DutchNegro(m): 2:09pm On Jan 10 |
michlins:It can be painful. Just found out that the one I shared as seen in front of my house belongs to SABI Networks, and not MTN. I spoke with someone who recently got connected to the infrastructure that I shared the image earlier. The person made me understand that it was Sabi Networks. Then I took my time to research them online and called their office for more info Installation Cost = N60,000 Subscription rates: 20mbps = N17,500 25mbps = N25,000 30mbps = N30,000 They offer half the speed that MTN offers at same amount of N25,000. Plus the one-time installation fee of N60,000. Not so encouraging |
| Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by zanjorrg(m): 2:11pm On Jan 10 |
DutchNegro:Let me put this so that others can learn. Do not pay any engineers for FIBER X installation. Infact it's the business that instruct them to come to a particular location for installation. They have no business dealing with you directly without the business' (MTN) knowledge. |
