They’ll steal the lands and reallocate to themselves. |

horlando30:You need to request for refund of your education. How does a random YouTube interview translate to fact. An enlighten person will request for the copy of the evacuation notice from the government and clearly show where 150m ROW is requested. |

DomPerignon:Been trying to follow your line of argument .... often requesting citations but providing none . The point of argument was why 150 m clearance for the Coastal Highway? Why? If the buildings were demolished because they had no permit ...fine ...they were in Federal Reserve...fine....but why for the highway? I wish you can focus on this the point. No doubt... internationally...the Federal Government has the right to confiscate property from private persons or businesses that are standing in the way of a public project ...in this case road infrastructure. The FG is required to compensate the owners by paying current market value of their property. Back to the point ... reference was made to similar situations in the US. We need to look at the process as a whole. If a highway was deemed necessary... th n planners will first draft the best possible pathit should take ... avoiding residential or established communities as possible and thereby paying less compensation. In this case ...the communities were there first... they are going wayyyy out of their way to demolish these buildings ... absolutely unnecessary unless you can explain. A highway ..in Manhattan...imagine clearing 150m of property to build this one? Did they clear land? No ...they build it over the existing one . Demolishing property to make a 150,M clearance for a highway? This is crazy. |

horlando30:You are such a dishonest person otherwise you would show complete letter and let's see where 150m is indicated in the letter. |

Ttalk:The guys is right, FG is demanding 150m ROW on the coastal road, the markings started this week. Our projects are threatened but we are slightly lucky. So yes it is happening right now 150m set back. |

Ttalk:Ah yes, the classic “I refuse to research but I demand footnotes” approach. Instead of shouting from the comfort of your lazy chair, why not stand up, dust your brain, and actually do the research yourself? If you were even half as enlightened as you claim, you would know how to look up official notices, ROW regulations, and government publications without waiting to be spoon-fed like a nursery school pupil. Google is free. Public records are free. Initiative is also free but apparently scarce for you. So please, save the fake intellectual outrage. Do your homework yourself and stop outsourcing basic thinking. |

The I consider your submission as a subtle continuation of the senseless opposition to the project by bigotry enemies of progress who had no genuine reason to oppose it other than hidden primordial interest and grandstanding. I thought enough hues and cries have been e raised on this issue as it is. Your last paragraph smoked you out as having a vested interest. Imagine your insolent insinuation that perhaps the president may not know the distance of 150km. That said, common sense should tell anyone that future exigencies should be considered in executing projects of this nature. Furthermore, isn't it time we did away with this colonial mentality of referring to foreign examples in local matters ? Must not use our home-grown initiatives for our own convenience ? |

BlakKluKluxKlan:Hey bot, please spare us the performance. It’s very obvious you are the same person running Ttalk, Domperigon, and God-knows-what other fake accounts you have. Same talking points, same broken logic, same paid enthusiasm. When you are on payroll, initiative becomes a luxury, so I understand why original thinking is absent for you. Let me be very clear before you derail this again: this discussion has nothing to do with APC, PDP, LP, ADC or whatever alphabet party you are currently defending for pocket money. I will not reveal any political inclination for the amusement of simpletons whose entire online existence is tied to defending their paymaster. You people are online jobbers, data boys trained to see every conversation as a battlefield where you must earn your daily bread. Everything to you is propaganda because that is all you know. As I have stated repeatedly, this thread is not for your likes. It is meant for decision-makers and people with actual authority not paid noise makers, comment mercenaries, or professional trolls hunting for engagement. Now move along and look for another thread where your services are required. |

DaddyJapan:I get your point but I am not talking about 150m setback from the sea though. What i saw were remove/demolition notice markings for 150m ROW even on the land side of the coastal road (places way farther than 150m away from the sea). I saw markings at some point 2 streets deep into lekki side of town. An entire estate was marked for demolition. How do you explain that? |

horlando30:Come on, now, Alhaji horlando30, you have directed a question about civil/structural engineering to someone who has no expertise in this area. I think it is best we to defer to the experts, don't you? You are not thinking the 150 metre rule was conceived with malicious intent. are you? |
