Congolese, Kenyans, Ethiopians, Rwandans, etc are Up in Arms Over Their People Wearing NIGERIAN ATTIRE for their Weddings! The new trend among Africans now, including diaspora Africans of the Caribbean and the USA, is to don NIGERIAN TRADITIONAL OUTFITS for their weddings, naming ceremonies, birthdays, etc. Kenyan women are now ordering Aso Ebi and Gele for their weddings. Same as Congolese, Ugandan, Tanzanian women, etc etc. And some of their people are saying ''Enough is Enough. Where is our own culture? Nigeria will not swallow all of us in this Africa!'' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBkccjGMTOY

Kemetian: Use Abia state as a reference for good leadership. But rather you guys prefer funny characters. Religion and tribalism is the root cause of hatred towards Peter Obi, that's just the simple truth. |

The IMF and the World Bank data set also corroborates the economic projections of PWC. Specifically, the World Bank's Oct 2025 report goes futher than PwC. It shows poverty rising for 2 consecutive years: 53.3% at $3/day line or 71% at $4.20/day by 2026, aligning with PwC's worsening trend to 62%. All of these World class economic institutions cannot be wrong and a certificate forging drug sniffer and his hired lackeys would be right. Kemetian: |

But they have been comfortably wearing European white gowns to church all these while.. Shouldn't you all be happy that it's getting closer home.. Why the hate, dear fellow Africans (women!)..🤔🤔 Nigeria would be the first to liberate itself completely from the white folks.. we have done it with movies, we did in Music, now dressing.. next would be football.. |

They are complaining on the internet, but in the DM, they are asking 'Where did you buy this hand-cut lace?' Abeg, make una rest. If you wear your local attire and you look like you’re going for a village meeting instead of a wedding, don’t blame Nigeria for your fashion choices. Cultural dominance is not a coup; it’s a lifestyle. Either upgrade or get used to seeing Gele in Nairobi! |

Una dey wear Suit and Wedding gown abi.... An African will rather Choose made from the West or US than made from Africa.... |
| Re: ''Stop Wearing Nigerian Attire For Weddings!'' - Africans Alarmed By New Trend by bunmioguns(m): 9:25am On Jan 10 |
But let’s be honest, Nigerian culture is the 'Hollywood' of Africa. You can’t blame your women for wanting to look like royalty on their big day. Instead of 'Up in Arms,' they should be 'Up in Measurements' sending their sizes to tailors in Aba and Lagos. Nigeria is not swallowing your culture; your culture is just too small for the room. You can't compare a 5-yard George wrapper and custom-beaded Gele to a simple cotton wrap and call it a contest. If the outfit makes the bride feel like a Queen, she will choose Naija every time. Soft power is not by force, it’s by flavor |

We are one Africa and Nigeria has the richest and most glamorous culture, so it is natural for other Africans to want to identify with the Nigerian cultures. |
