This is a fight Fubara can't win, he started fighting too early. I'm not privy to the conditions he agreed with Wike before emerging as Governor, first time his name was even mentioned was when the EFCC were after him. No one knew about him, it implies Wike did everything, and as such the terms were steep.
Politics is always about compromise, and when you bargain from a position of weakness, you get a bad deal. Fubara would have waited, bid his time, gained enough grounds, especially in the assembly, political leaders before making a move on Wike.
From events, it can be assumed that every reconciliatory agreement is in Wike's favour, he's the one dictating the terms. And when it becomes clear to SIM what the implications are, he starts to renege.
But the question is why accept a deal you can't keep?
Politicians renege, no doubt about that, but they do it with power to go ahead regardless. RMK and Gov. Abba Yusuf is an example.
Tinubu mediated the last deal and he is privy to the terms, if Fubara is guilty of going against it, I doubt he will give him his support.

And one last thing, Impeachment is constitutional, nothing can stop it, except Tinubu is ready to declare another State of Emergency.

One will use doing state projects to do his campaign
The other will use shouting up and down and paying touts up and down to do his campaign

Apc house members are against apc governor. The apc house members are taking instructions from a supposed PDP member.

Look at this whole thing holistically. There seem to be a paradox, making it look like the crisis is real. It might be a game plan or a script been played right before our eyes. At the end of the day, all the people in this drama are very rich.

The poor citizens who are supporting neither this nor that, will be at the receiving end.

Sometimes ago, Wike was the beloved son and Fubara was a perceived enemy.

Wike should find another party for his candidate and meet Fubara on the field

The only thing that can stop an impeachment is negotiation or State of Emergency.
And he is gone once the House reaches a 2/3 majority on the Article of Impeachment. Even if it's illegal, he will have to fight it in Court as an ordinary citizen.
He is in a tight spot. I'm analysing base on what is available in the public domain and precedent

He is actually doing a lot of projects but they don't make it to the news.
But the fightings make it to the news.

I read that Fubara has traveled to France to meet with Tinubu. Good. But I doubt if there will be a public showdown between the presidency and Wike.

Tinubu may not speak publicly about the Rivers crisis again because he is not someone who talks a lot unlike the parrot in Rivers, who boasts and issues threats over every move he makes.

Tinubu went out of his way to intervene once and took sides with Wike suspending the governor for 6 months, yet Wike is still attempting to disrupt events and cause endless chaos.

Tinubu understands something critical that if Wike, who is neither president nor someone with Tinubu’s political structure or reach, succeeds in impeaching Fubara, he will become larger than life, and with access to the Rivers treasury, Wike could amass enormous power and eventually pose a threat to Tinubu himself.

We saw a glimpse of this in 2023, when Wike bought off PDP delegates, until those who understood the political chessboard countered him by merging Atiku and Tambuwal’s delegates for Atiku. Tinubu witnessed all of this and knows exactly the kind of political force Wike can become when backed by money.

For this reason, Tinubu will maintain his silence, but he will cut Wike down to size by ensuring he no longer has easy access to funds. At the federal level, Wike no longer controls money the way he once did. What remains is access to Rivers' treasury, because if he loses that, his ambition to be VP or President is dead. So, this is about survival for Wike. And he will rather die than have what will buy him power taken away from him.

The Rivers crisis is about one man's ambition to control Rivers and forcefully be your VP or President in the future. Wike should be resisted.

Section 122 of the constitution allows the governor to spend for 6 months after the budget has expired and a new budget is not in place.
Fubara is allowed to work with the budget passed by the National Assembly for Ibas till June 30, 2026 All the governor has to do is to just ensure that he can defend that the spending falls either of these 2 categories
(i.) Necessary to keep government running, and
(ii.) Limited to what was approved in the previous year’s budget.
Maybe when i see other allegations sha but this one of spending money not appropriated, less than 10 days after the expiration of one budget? e no follow

let see what the panel finds as an impeachable offense. But clearly the spending outside appropriation is justified, unless they are implying previous spending before the state of emergency was declared.
