It's not today they started it. Just like my own they fixed LG logo. When it had fault I took it for repairs, the technician was then using Panasonic parts and I asked why and he told me the television is not LG but Panasonic ![]() |

These "fake" televisions have enabled a lot of families have access to tv entertainment just like the fake designer clothes you wear have enabled lots of people look decent. I don't encourage piracy of any sort but if you need original lg then walk into any fouani showroom though there's are much more expensive but if you're managing yourself then buy these ones and get an original surge protector at once. If your conscience or ego is biting you then get those Chinese stuff (same thing, all na panel be the koko) . Then, if you're really bucksed up, you can start your own assembly plant in Aba, Nnewi or Port Harcourt. Shalom |

No TV has fake version as much as LG If you don't go to a verified showroom like Fouani, you will buy rubbish. Also, from my own research, if it's high budget TV you want don't buy Chinese brands like Samsung or TVC. They make good medium end TV but the panel is also similar to what they sell as high end. They just put better casing. Buy Japanese expensive TV instead. Like Sony Bravia or some Panasonic. Medium budget - TVC LG is Korean. Their best technology is their oled series. Any other series is just average. I don't know why it's very common in Nigeria and people ascribe it as the best. That's why guys like this make a big profit from converting TV like Hikers or royal to LG |

Ttalk:Those televisions are made and programmed in China. They are called generic TVs, but most of hem are programmed with LG firmware, especially those android tvs. Bought one around 2024, a 32 inches TV, branded as LG. It was later i got to know that its not the original LG. I have been using it since around october 2024 till date and no issue. My only concern here is why use LG logos and firmware, whwn they can just rebrand the generic Tvs with a new brand name, since its one of the cheapest brand of TVs in Nigeria. They need a proffessional to put them through instead of counterfeiting LG electronics. If i have enough BARS, i can actually buy plenty Generic TVs from china, and i will just rebrand them. Most of these factories are responsible for the production of even the original TVs, just that the materials used might not match up to the original products. i.e, take samsung phones i midrange and redmi phones in midrange, same specs, but different quality in screen and other componenets. Generic products are made for poor 3rd world countries.... |

IndexMode:I get your point but no TV set has a fake version majorly because no one can copy an interface of a brand. I have said that severally on this platform. No matter how good, no company will risk the law suit because; 1. You can't copy interface of a TV set. Sets like LG, Samsung, hisense (to name a few) have unique interface. No one can 2. No one can copy a brands "boot animation" If you need to get a TV set, you need to know what the interface looks like. Let's assume a company finds a means to get it(almost Impossible), LG won't turn a blind eye because the lawsuit would be a straight win. Trust you get. |

O franchasofficia:Your Alaba boys are not even intelligent enough to produce counterfeit. They are faking the fake products which is double wahala for buyers. You brought in substandard products and still have the gut to fake the labeling therefore making it impossible to repair when faulty. The SW Governors should create a form of standard organization through their state Assemblies to flush out this fake Alaba products without minding "Uche's face". To hell with Uche. Sell quality products to me that would last for years and I will work to save the money rather than sell substandard products that would last few weeks then I would be buying the fake products repeatedly. The Alaba boys are so stupid that they don't even import any quality products so that those who could afford them would buy. The only option you have are the fakes and our SW politicians are silent pretending it's normal. A lot of people are really pissed up. |
| Re: Alaba Boys Printing Fake “LG” Logo On Televisions (Video) by franchasofficia: 8:44am On Jan 10 |
josielewa:Don't enlighten them, allow them to be screaming Alaba boys lol Most times the materials are even the same but you know the original brand have invested so much in branding, brand promotion, image marketing, advertising and even in staff welfare, so they usually factor in these costs in their final product prices which makes their own price higher than the counterfeit or replica brands that had only product production cost to bear, making their cost lesser than the original and which puts them at advantage in pricing. I got to know this in China. Same factory producing for the main brand produces the generic which these counterfeit makers create theirs from. The only place I frown at counterfeit is in things humans consume like; medicines, food, etc Cc: amaridigital And yes it will be good if Nigerian government not just Southwest Governors alone can intensify efforts to curb counterfeit and replica products flooding our markets. |

I know that logos have been printed on electronics since 2005. There was an LG product I saw at a restaurant. I made an enquiry about it, and I was told that they could tell the supplier to bring mine. When I sent the picture to Fouani, the authorised LG company in the company, they messaged that they don't make such electronics.

KillahPriest:the reason for using LG is to sell it for higher price. And another reason is quick sales and to cheat people. Not only people doing internet fraud be yahoo. Everyone is involved even putty market women so we are all hypocrites. There is nothing like legit business in the sight of God. |

borie4u:Even their latest political hero Nyesome Wike was caught wearing fake Gucci he bought in France sometime ago lol Sanwo-Olu that wants to fight counterfeit products in Alaba maybe wearing a replica/copy Luis Vuitton shoe he bought in London thinking he is wearing the original one ![]() These things aren't new in the world of today. Virtually all the luxury fashion branded product they sell in Turkey are copy, what Nigerians call fake yet the who is who in the world go to Turkey to buy them happily lolz My sister-in-law was shocked the sneakers she bought in one European country ended up being fake, when she was narrating it to her sister, my wife, I just smiled that una never know anything sha. Even the luxury branded perfumes they sell in Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc are now counterfeits, I also bought one at Doha airport and was in shock for months that this luxury branded perfume's fragrance I bought in Qatar does not smell for more than an hour, something I have used before that if you spray it once, it would smell for weeks on your clothe and even clothes that come in contact with it. |

[quote author=franchasofficia post=138083222]Hahahahaha the whole of China ought to be serving a life sentence then, including President Xi ![]() Most countries that have technology today started from copying. China started that way and still doing it till tomorrow. What The first time I visited China, I was wowed. My tour guide took me to a place in China where they produce replica of all the luxury fashion products on earth. You can't even differentiate between the counterfeits there and the original one. Like one Christian Dior bag I once bought for my wife as a birthday gift that cost over a million naira, I saw it there at less than 400k and it's just same I had to buy a different design to show my wife. I also bought replica Rolex watch they sell the original 3.5m and I bought the replica around 250k ![]() You come to spare parts same thing If you visit China you won't be surprised about this news. Yes I know it's not a good practice, it's violation of patent right but unfortunately that's what the whole world does now. Turkey is even the headquarters for fake or counterfeit luxury fashion products. All those luxury brand products they sell to you guys in Nigeria as original are all fake, counterfeits produced in Turkey. The whole world knows about this and reason many troop to Istanbul to buy cheap luxury brand fashion products at reduced price You need to travel more and see that the world has spoilt sha, Alasba boys are learners[/quote Do Alaba boys produce any part apart from trying to fake a fake products. |
