Yeah, the average Nairaland user is more intelligent than the average Twitter (X) user and I can prove it.

Post a topic on Nairaland and you’ll see different schools of thought, critical thinking, and multiple opposing opinions.

Post the same topic on Twitter and all you get are emotional reactions, threats, and doxxing.

Let a popular person post something on Nairaland and you’ll get plenty of opposing views and debate. Let the same popular person post on Twitter and everyone just agrees with them. If you disagree, the poster and their followers get angry, insult you, and block you.

There are too many low-IQ people acting intelligent on X simply because they have access to Google and ChatGPT, but they can’t back up their arguments with real experience or solid reasoning.

Nairaland wins on original ideas, strong arguments, free speech, and people who are actually willing to debate intellectually. That’s why people who hate debate, disagreement, and opposing opinions never last on Nairaland.

You see that twitter ehn some people can do oversabi ehn.
But here you can see what a true Nigerian spirit is from thought springing from deep thoughts to opinions that has really helped shaped lives.
Nairaland should add bookmark for each users so that searching for topics will be much more easy.
Mr seun I need that bookmark button under topics we are in the era of laziness.
So please help me

To some extent the Op is correct, when you post a topic there, Nlander's will share their real life experience with you unlike X there they live fake life.
NL is still yet to leave to it's potentials, they are many features which Seun has to add to this NL to make the best out of the best.
If I can buy this forum, I know where I will take It to in few years from now, na because I never table my price tag, na mk Seun dey feel big.

Nairaland brought real travel experience to people who never left their birth place, and exposed the developed nature of Eastern Nigeria.

Nairaland helped a lot of people gain jobs.

This thread makes me realize I lose nothing from not being on X (Twitter). If this rag is taken as gold, I shudder to imagine the experience there. Thank God for Reddit, ChatGPT and Quora.

The discussion forum format is what had made NL to thrive by adding videos, images, texts,etc. X and other online platforms have limited spaces to type words.

However, the toxic hate speeches still thrive on this website regardless of the so-called NL bit that was introduced in 2025.

Agreed. It's why I was never in support of the Block feature on Nairaland. Blocking the person simply because you disagree with the post means you are a poor debater and largely intolerant even when the opposing party presents a superior argument.

What actually amuses me is how those on TwitterNG mock Facebook users and crown themselves as very intelligent. grin

TwitterNG folks have a god like mentality thanks to its global usage and monetisation.

Yes! Nairaland is a microcosm of the average Nigerian. In fact, Facebook is a strong contender to deeply understand how the average Nigerian from all walks of life reasons.

Those on TwitterNG and especially Reddit believe Nigeria starts from Lagos and ends up at Abuja. The ignorance is befuddling.

A lady was still telling me last week to come to X. Told her I'm not interested. They claim being exposed there but their ignorance is out of this world

Most of them started using the internet in the era of Social Media so they always think everything starts and ends with them

Nairaland is actually very easy to navigate better than Twitter with all the strange crypto adverts.
Also the comment template make it very easy to forget the idea you want to share or what you want to express.

Most early users of Twitter were same people from nairaland. It's all good 👍
