Putting a bounty on a president of a sovereign nation is not the same as invading the nation to kidnap the president. There are warrants on nethenyahu. Even more so when the same Trump you celebrate pardoned the president of Honduras who was convicted of drug running. He said it was about drugs, but all of a sudden it is about oil. That should tell you all you need to know about your hero and what he stands for.
Everything na agenda to him. Even president of France condemned the kidnap of Maduro, and you have French official iniating move to leave NATO. Maybe he think Tinubu will be President forever. Trump is threatening Venezuela, Mexico, Columbia, Greenland/Denmark. If it can happen to this countries, even Obi as president will collect.

Apart from Nigeria suffering casualty, Trump is setting wrong precedent that can affect global peace.

In December I read on multiple platforms that people's naturalization ceremonies were suspended

Visa lottery was also suspended in December

I believe live but not sure that citizenship via military service is also suspended or hampered

And Trump is looking for how to kill citizenship by birth.

Maybe you need to review your list.
Naturalization ceremony for only certain countries when they found out some naturalized citizens actually held anti American beliefs

Visa lottery ran for decades, how many countries ever ran a lottery. Some Americans could never belief that there used to be a lottery to become a citizen

Birthright citizen the UK style is what they are trying to change to. Not you give birth today ship the child to society where they do not have American values or beliefs then come back in 20yrs time all hating kn American values

So you mean what you posted before na wash?

I read about Nigerians who had their ceremony suspended. Did they also hold anti American beliefs?

What exactly are anti American beliefs?

This also sounds familiar - something we have seen before - mchartyism.

Do you think that if you were starting your japa journey today you would be accepted in trumps America?

Terrorism is anti American
Nigeria is under a temporary ban due to certain things which includes Boko Haram (terrorism) the admin is saying they do not know how many Nigerians who are here given the sloppy nature of Nigerian background checks are BH operatives

There are many people like me in America from Nigeria who got their Green card and citizenship under Trump

Lets act like this is new from America? Like Bush didnt do the same thing to Noriega or Obama didnt do the same thing to Gadaffi or didn't do the same in Vietnam. Trump is simply continuing in the path of what America has always done

You might not like it, but the reason people seek to be superpowers is to protect their interest even if you feel bullied

Skin tones? An example of fear mongering that the Democrats project. People of all skin tones are being picked up by ICE. From white brown and black

It is logical that if more black and brown people are immigrantss, there will be more of them picked up
Its like saying they are picking football watchers and saying it means they are targeting men.

Why will anyone be impressed by what the president of France says? Is France a country America should look to be like?

France cannot even defend itself from Russia, they depend on America If not for America they would be speaking German in Paris now

I doubt any American look at France and think yeah I want my country to be like this

I agree with the veterans here
These guys are shameless always fighting for bonuses, they could have rejected the call up
I read England don't pay their players or maybe they all voluntarily donated to charity, we know it's your money and right but do it thr right way not in the middle of tournaments

I agree with Charles Anazodo.

Nigeria is a dysfunctional, we all know this NFF is inefficient and a clog in the wheel of our football progress, fact!. There is massive corruption in the NFF, true. . Players will always be owed allowances, bonuses, awards, no be today.

But everything we have achieved, every laurel we have ever won in football has been despite the systemic corruption, the poorly run NFF and maladministration of our football.

If money is the players only motivation to play and they cant do it for the honour of the badge and repping Nigeria, then they should reject their invitation to the national team because NFF is notorious for owing, will not pay them as at when due and will always owe. Simple!

Football is a very emotional sport. Nigerians are heavily and emotionally invested in the Super Eagles. People have been sent to their early graves on account of the team's loss. Did we not read about the Nigerian who slumped and died due to the team's loss to Ivory Coast in the last AFCON final? Me, I couldn't eat the night of the 2022 WCQ loss to Ghana, ditto last year's playoff loss to DR Congo. I was irritable and brooded for a week before I got over it.

People lost livelihoods and income because of their non qualification. Brands attached to the team lose money and revenue too. Edafe Mathew Elegbete of Elegbete Sports said the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the Qatar 2022 world cup put him $250,000 in debt.

Their incessant protests at every crunch time has become silly. They protested during the WCQ playoffs, dem jabo. Dem wan play AFCON Q/F against their toughest opponent, they are protesting again. Where is the sense in that? Didnt they learn anything from their last protest? At this point, their protest has become a tool to blackmail and sabotage the country.

Hand don dey pain me so make I put full stop for here but I am glad people are now calling them out now for this nonsense behaviour.

Below is the post I made in the Super Eagles thread on this their AFCON protest.

semid4lyfe:
Ore, I do not disagree with you. I just think training in Fez is still better than not training at all.

Still, I am pissed about the protest. More so, I am shocked they would do it again after pulling the same stunt a month ago and it backfired with their loss to DR Congo.

The players say this AFCON is a redemption mission and a way to apologize and compensate Nigerians for not qualifying for the world cup. They ask Nigerians to pray for the team and always support them, and they won't let them down. Fine words, but their actions tell a different story

I mean, how can they down tools on the eve of the Q/Final? They cannot be talking about winning the AFCON, ask us to pray for them and in the same vein sabotage preparations. They cannot claim to be fighting for national pride and to make amends, and then put personal issues above national interest.

The NFF is a mess, always has been. Poor planning, unpaid salaries, owed allowances et al na their trademark. But two wrongs never make a right. Their protest at this critical time doesn't fix the issue. It only hurts the team, fans and the country.

This AFCON no be mai mai. Team wey go win am go try. All the big guns are in the Quarter Finals. All the remaining teams are equally matched. Margins will be thin. A distracted camp, one less acclimatization day, one less training day to perfect strategy etc could be the difference between a victory or defeat.

Sometimes I wonder.....Don't the players talk to themselves? Is there no one amongst them that pointed out that their protest is ill-timed considering their recent history, the current stakes and how tough the opponents are? Can't they make the sacrifice, and play for themselves, their personal legacies? Can't they play to write their names in gold? Can't they play to be forever revered in Nigerian football history?

In 2013, when we faced Ivory Coast in the AFCON Q/F, the NFF had already checked the players out of their hotel and booked flights back home but on matchday the players turned up and played for themselves, the late Keshi, and eventually won the cup. That's the kind of sacrifice and commitment I expect from this set of Super Eagles. This their protest is just giving their critics ammunition to throw at them if things go south.

Nigerians have endured a lot from this team. Two missed World Cups. AFCON FINAL loss. Yet the fans still show up. Still watch. Still believe. The least the players owe them is focus and professionalism for the duration of the AFCON.

The outstanding bonus issue can be handled differently and at a better time. The AFCON 2027 qualifiers would commence soon. They can choose to protest their unpaid allowances then. They can even drag the NFF publicly and expose them if need be. Nigerians will back that fight but this one on the backdrop of their recent failures is ill-timed and unnecessary. The team does not need this drama. They should silence all the noise, lock in, and let their football and results speak.

Anything less than the AFCON title is failure.

Why cant the govt be upfront with them and tell them you are coming to play for free. So the players know that ahead and prepare their minds for it

Football is their job just like lecturing is your job. There is a difference between me telling you semid, come and teach my kid and I will pay you vs As per say we be paddy come and teach my kids for free.
Later I now blackmail you that why dont you continue to teach my kid even though I am not paying you do you want my kids life to spoil?

I am sure you will tell me that why don't you ask me for free service and let me decide

The problem is not Trump. The problem is the Democrats who suddenly decided United States is no longer a country of laws by opening the border and allowing millions of unvetted migrants cross the border illegally because they want to earn their votes. It doesn't work like that, if you enter the States illegally, you've broken their laws and therefore subject to being captured and deported by ICE, simple.

Another problem is the sanctuary cities in blue states where they refuse to cooperate with Federal Law enforcement agents who are carrying out their duties.

If Biden and Harris didn't open the flood gates at the border and let in millions, Trump won't be overcompensating with these deportations. Also when they keep doxing ICE agents and calling them Nazis and the Gestapo because they're enforcing federal law, they need to protect themselves and their families because those liberals are batshit crazy.

I don't buy into these emotional talking points of the crazy liberals when facts are there for the rational person to see. Laws are laws, if they don't like it, they should tell their Congress men and women to change it.

I'm guessing if a stranger enters your house illegally you'll allow them to stay and give them a room while at it.
Well Said!

What honour of the badge are we on about?

Why should they play for free for the same country where monies allocated to them are swallowed by the body set aside to oversee their affairs is carted away by monkeys and the rest of the country made memes about it like it's nothing?

Why should they play for the honour of the badge when the current FCT Minister has his 20+-year-old son allotted hectares of land and flown around with public funds while the masses applaud him?

Why should they play for free when NFF isn't a non-profit? NFF charges fees and makes money, no?

Why should I work for free in your organisation when you get billions from donors and the government?

Is Amaju Pinnick who has been in NFF since forever flying around the world to attend competitions funded by his private purse for honour of the badge?

Are players in other countries playing for honour of the badge alone with no monetary compensation or appreciation?

The match bonus for one player per game is way less than the 40-year-old whiskey Wike drinks every night funded for years by public funds.

Pay the boys.

I was shocked reading that piece from semid4lyfe. Why then do ASUU go on strike, is it lack of patriotism or honour for the country? They should be teaching for free to honour the country na.

"Most of the things that are happening currently in Rivers State can never happen in Lagos State. Most recently, because Asiwaju (Tinubu) was not part of the decision to remove the Speaker (Obasa), we all saw what happened, without Asiwaju talking, the Speaker was restored.

“Ingratitude and being ungrateful will create so much headache for anyone. The emergency rule in Rivers State was a saving grace for Fubara because the moment you are impeached, that is your end,” Fayose said.

He advised the Fubara to adopt a more conciliatory approach following his return from suspension, saying survival in politics sometimes requires retreat and careful management of relationships.

I never heard anyone call Trump a fascist before so i don't know what you mean by democratic talking point. I called him a fascist because i know how fascists behave and he behaves like one.

You seem to be admitting he is a fascist anyway by admitting things have swung to the extreme right.
