Hi
How did you apply for the tourist visa?
Did you use agent?

Jamescool2:
I just got my passport and was issued a 3 months visa. Thanks to everyone
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by ferry377: 1:41am On Jan 05
justwise:
Ask/make your South African visa contributions here, i have seen increasing number of different threads about South African visa recently hence the need to dedicate one thread for South African visa issues.
This is a good idea because South Africa visa rules change often and answers get scattered across many threads. Keeping questions and updates in one place helps people compare timelines, requirements, and recent experiences. Anyone posting should include visa type, nationality, and date applied so replies stay useful.

Hi
Please I would like to ask if you submitted E- visa or to the Embassy?

quote author=emirateautos post=137743263]Hi guys,

I submitted my application for a tourist visa on the 28th of November 2025.

I got a request email and sms, requesting for my passport today 9th of December 2025.

I think SA is getting quicker now.

Wishing other prospective applicants best of luck[/quote]

I've been trying this whole week to book an appointment at vfs for a South African visa to no avail, is it advisable to travel down to their office instead?

Don't do that, they will send you away, wait until it is going, let me check for you and no if I can assist you, personal I still have south Africa valid visa
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Beambeam007:
I risked it o, travelled down even. Just opted for the premium service. They take walk-ins for premium service at their lekki office. Was pretty easy too. I have come back to edit this, they were only taking walk-ins that week. Don't try this o, results may vary.

It's not true, but only ur wedding certificate that will be legaliized with stamp and it's charge 7k. If you are travel with minor, there birth certificate will also be legaliized with 7k per child.then all documents should be in color copy

Good morning Goodluck.
I’m about to submit my South African E- visa application as a business woman . I have my CAC but I don’t have Tax clearance documents, do you think I could be denied based on that?

Where's is this carried out for 7k? By VFS themselves? Or at any court? Or by any Notary Public?

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Beambeam007: 8:57am On Jan 15
If you're applying for a less than 90 days visa you'll need to have it notorized, I think they do it outside the vfs premises. if it's more than 90days, you'll need to have it legalised in Abuja from the ministry of foreign affairs. I had to go back to do this after my application was denied.

Thank you for your response
Well I later I wrote a letter to them for correction and 2 days later my visa came out denied with insufficient funds.
While I have a close balance of 6m in my account 😢
I don’t understand why 6m will not be enough for 8days trip to SA.

I applied for my South African study visa on 16th December and I haven’t heard back yet. My school resumes on 2nd February.
Please, from experience, what’s the shortest time anyone has received a South African study visa?
