Hey everyone, good news 🎉
I finally got my appointment and it’s scheduled for January 20th.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate some guidance from anyone who’s been through this:

• What should I generally expect on the day?
• How does the DHL process work for submitting original documents?
• How long does it take to get insurance, and which providers do you recommend?
• I’m in marketing, so I’m guessing the aptitude test (if any) will be related to that?

I’m especially confused about the DHL part and insurance plans, so any tips, timelines, or recommendations would help a lot 🙏

Thank you in advance 💛

DHL: they are going to collect all your originals including passport, so you will also submit a DHL/FedEx return envelope with your address on it (you can buy at any FedEx/DHL outlet), the embassy will use that to send your stuff back to you when a decision has been made.
Test: In addition to the why do you want to go to Germany and similar questions, if you are given an aptitude test, it will likely be based on your course of study. I have about 10 years experience in a field far away from my course of study and I was still tested based on that course, I tried to make them change it (because I saw one guy here say he did that) but they said it was okay, I should do it like that.

So there is no way around the block account ?

So let me get this straight. After the interview it takes about 2-3months to get the visa itself correct? From the people ive seen here it seems like thats the case

Hello,
When did you join waiting list?

For the Insurance, you can get it done just few minutes using Dr. WALTER.

Some of the popular questions are:
Why Germany?
What is your future plan?
What will you do if you don’t get Job within 1 year in Germany?
Why not English speaking countries ?

thanks.

I have a BA in politics and an MBA in marketing, i used the mba in marketing as my main education, so i guess that's where the questions will come from.

I'll try and see about the dhl return envelop this weeks.

Hi, I need some help with a few things:

1. Secondary Employment (First Screenshot)
I noticed the option for secondary employment isn’t listed on the portal. Is it actually an option?

Also, my declaration isn’t marked nachgewiesen, and I do have secondary employment. I uploaded both the declaration and secondary employment documents, but during the preliminary review, only the declaration was mentioned. I was just told to upload the requested document (see second screenshot).

Quick question:

Can I remove the declaration and re-upload just the secondary employment document instead?

2. Birth Certificate and Affidavit
I was asked to do an affidavit because my birth certificate name was slightly different from my passport. But I just found another birth certificate with the exact same name as my passport.

Can I upload that and skip the affidavit?

3. Proof of Accommodation
Do I need to upload both the declaration and my guarantor’s tenancy agreement, or is the tenancy agreement alone enough?

Thanks so much for your help!
You have an offer for employment in Germany already? What sites were you checking? I am also leaning towards being a data analyst.

Hello!
Been a minute
How did yours go?
Also, i read somewhere you said you lost the originals of your documents.
How were you able to scale through the interview without them?

Expect to stand for more than 60 minutes. Lol. You should take all your original copies and have them arranged together. Questions around Why Germany and not an English speaking country, Can you speak German?, Do you have or know anyone in Germany, Future plan in Germany, and a test tailored to your course of study.

I used DR-WALTER EDUCARE24 insurance

Best wishes!

Please, those who studied Banking and Finance or related courses, what questions or tests were you asked during your interviews?

Hey, went well! Dropped a comment about it. Applied for certified true copies for the institutions and used those. No issues!

Hi Bella, I wanted to ask how you went about your reference while doing your preliminary stage. I saw earlier that you had issues with using the hotel you booked as a reference. How did you overcome the issue? What did you end up using as a reference? Individual or organization?

Thank you very much for your response. I've gone through the thread to see your response but can't find it.
So, I have a scanned copy of my BECE certificate but the original is missing. I'd like to know the next course of action to take since I have the original copy scanned already and how you went about getting the certified true copy.
Thank you very much

Let me break the silence with some good news

I’m happy to share that I finally received my visa, Decision was made on the 2nd January and i finally received my passport today January 8th.
My interview date was October 22nd, and after waiting patiently until now, it has finally come through.

This journey definitely had its ups and downs. Some people here already know about the back-and-forth and the challenges I faced along the way, but I’m truly grateful that it all worked out in the end. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported, encouraged, and shared useful information during this process.

To everyone still waiting or preparing for their own visa, I wish you the very best of luck. Stay strong, your turn will come too.

Now, on to the next phase 🇩🇪✈️
If anyone has information on the next steps after landing in Germany such as registration and other important requirements please kindly share a step-by-step guide. I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you all once again, and wishing everyone success on their journey.

Is BECE also needed? I thought it's only primary school and SSCE

OMG!!!

that was such a hassle, apparently those youtube videos who tell you to write receptionist or hotel manager as a substitute for names, damn! lol

Just find an apartment or hotel where the owner is willing to provide their name and surname and that should fix it.

Is BECE not same as FSLC? Or do you mean Junior WAEC certificate?

Good evening, please I’ve my interview next week Tuesday….. I’ll love to know how yours went and if you were given a kind of test related to your field of study ( if yes, was it oral or theoretical or objective).
Thank you 🙏🏽[/quote]
