What taco doesn’t know is the USA is already the top oil producer. Shale oil is light crude which is profitable for refining gasoline. It has low diesel yields so refineries don’t use it for diesel. Shale oil is sufficient for all local needs of gasoline. They just need Venezuela heavy oil for ONLY diesel fuel. It’s not very profitable to use heavy oil for gasoline production, all Venezuela reserves are heavy oil.
