Touch down gen 3. Just picked up my package today. However I discovered that the cable config of the gen 3 sent to me and the gen 2 I had are different. Now I gotta find a way to decommission the gen 2 completely and set the gen 3 afresh..

| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 4:13pm On Jan 12 |
georgee:Not every kit is eligible for replacement. I really don't know the eligibility criteria, but some have reported that Starlink refused to replace theirs even after developing faults that are not of the owners doing. |

Project Kuiper, the Amazon-owned satellite internet initiative, has taken a major step toward entering Nigeria’s broadband market after securing a landing permit from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to begin operations from 2026.https://techcabal.com/2026/01/13/amazon-project-kuiper-ncc-approval-nigeria/

ijeezlux:I reserved for a spot already since last year. Thank God we have fresh competition, I'll definitely be porting if the price would be better, service is stable and customer support outshines Starlink's. For their CS is superb. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by georgee(m): 1:01pm On Jan 14 |
So far so good, Starlink has been good to me They have reduced subscription price at one point when NGN appreciated They have increased it when NGN depreciated Their customer care is Top notch The service is Top notch. Far exceeds my needs and expectation When this one comes and brings competition, i would still stick with STARLINK till... |

Competition is always good news for consumers. Hopefully project kuiper can actually compete with starlink. It's going to take a lot of convincing for starlink customers to jump ship. Hardware cost Subscription fee Customer support Bandwidth speed Installation aieromon: |

STARLINK has been so good, but they should not relent ooo, they should never stop getting better, omo the only thing that will make me consider switching to the Amazon is if they offer verified unlimited gigabit speed without bandwidth throttling at a competitive price ,at this point i will jump. |

Hi everyone. So my starlink mini has been shipped but I want to use it with my Airtel android TV box. I doubt if the starlink wifi would work with it. Please, what do you suggest I do. Should I get a router? If I do, what type should I go for and how do I go about connecting it? I don't have a smart TV hence this challenge? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ijeezlux(m): 12:31pm On Jan 22 |
chizzy86:I have not really used Airtel box, but if the box has Wlan port, then I believe the box can be connected to the starlink and it will work flawlessly. I don't really know of Airtel box connection to starlink via WiFi. After all wlan connection to android box gives you a stronger internet connection than WiFi connection. Better still, why not just get a generic android box or firestick. It will save u all these stress |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 2:03pm On Jan 22 |
chizzy86:The Airtel Android TV box's Ethernet port doesn't support lan in, only out. Also, it doesn't support connecting to external wifi. To connect to it via Ethernet, you will need to get a USB-to-Ethernet adapter like the one attached below. Get it from Jumia or Konga.

| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ijeezlux(m): 5:25pm On Jan 22 |
dustmalik:Meaning the Airtel box nor make sense be that , it's too rigid and poor spec. And the ram na even 2gig. With less than 45k you will get a better android box on jumia. The one I bought 5years ago for less than 18k is Still working very well |
