Algerian players and officials clashed with Nigerian players and officials after the final whistle. https://www.tiktok.com/video/7593798193947741458? Algerian players and officials also attempted to confront the referee in the tunnel. ? There were also clashes in the Mixed Zone (where journalists interview the players immediately after the game). ?

Algerian Football Federation: The refereeing decisions in the last match against Nigeria cannot be overlooked, as they raised questions and left widespread dissatisfaction, striking at the credibility of African refereeing |

BigDick70inch:Funny the way you guys blame North Africans for being violent, forgetting we subsaharan africans have our own issues with violence too. Violence in football is common. The countries that have solved it invested heavily in security and travel bans for violent fans. The kind of thing you and the north africans would resist as 'opression' |

The way CAF does its things too can be embarrassing. Why nominate a West African official to officiate a match between a West African country and a North African country? CAF is to be blamed! BTW: Talking about the semi-finals against Morocco on Wednesday: the Super Eagles will lose by 3 - 1 |

North African countries should be banned from participating in AFCON. They're too bitter in nature, besides they regard themselves as Arabs instead of Africans so they should go and participate in Arab tournaments. I won't be surprised if our players are getting hostile treatments in their hotel rooms since they got there, it's their trademark. Our players won't reveal every nonsense they're experiencing in Morocco because Nigerians would say they're complaining too much. |

Why no penalty? Match officials determined that the ball had initially struck Ajayi's thigh before deflecting onto his arm, a crucial distinction under current handball regulations. According to football's laws, when the ball ricochets off another part of a player's body first, it is not a penalty, as the defender has no realistic opportunity to move their arm away. The rule is clear and unambiguous on this point. However, the decision still proved deeply contentious for Algeria. From certain angles, the contact sequence appeared unclear, leaving Algerian players and supporters unconvinced that the ball had indeed touched Ajayi's thigh first. They remained adamant they had been robbed of a legitimate penalty claim. The absence of a VAR check only intensified their fury, raising questions about why the incident wasn't reviewed to provide clarity on the sequence of contact. https://gulfnews.com/sport/football/heres-why-algeria-didnt-get-that-penalty-for-handball-against-nigeria-in-afcon-1.500405171 |

Normally, North Africans see themselves as superior to other Africans. They can't take defeat. They consider it demeaning. Meanwhile, some people in Nigeria are supporting the Algerians just because of religion. |
